Race for the title and Top 4

Vital Champions League
A thread to discuss us and our rivals in the race for the title and the top 4.

Chelseas to lose atm but still 5 other teams can hunt them down if they slip up. No europe doesnt hurt.

Poor result from us last night but the arse loss and pool drawing made our result bearable

City battering west ham and look to finally be getting back to there attacking best but there defence is still average.

Utd could get back in to the race for the top if they beat hull.

Who will miss out? All to play for.

City will finally find some form now, that Jesus will give them a boost.

I think it is between Us/ars*nal/United/Pool for the remaining 2 places.

ManU and Arse will miss out.

US, Pool and City to fight it out for 2-4.

Top four means absolutely nothing to me. Wow, we enter a competition we can't possibly win, and then get knocked out in an embarrassing manner. Yes, Mr levy gets a big fat bonus, but I won't see any of it, and neither will any of you. The theory that it attracts top players is also rubbish, as the only thing that attracts top players is money. Think back to Chelsea and Citeh. Now, winning the prem is another question, it's a trophy and something to be proud of.

Chelsea
ars*nal
City
Liverpool
Spurs
Utd

Unfortunately I cannot see Chelsea fluffing their lines now. Conte is too good a coach to allow it. I'm still uncertain but this is how I think the top 6 will look:

1. Chelsea
2. Man City
3. ars*nal
4. Liverpool
5. Spurs
6. Man Utd

Have to agree Chelski will win it. I think Manure will blow up and finish sixth. We have done well to stay in it with so many key injuries. The injury to Rose heaps on the problems for us as well. Should we come away from Anfield with at least a point I believe we will finish above bindippers. This should be good enough to get us 4th place. All we have to do then is hope Leicester don't win the CL.

Anyone that watched the manure hull game last night will understand just how savagely and how tenacious the clubs towards the bottom of the PL. will fight to keep their status ..

Clubs will still stumble and have the occasional blip, but the Chav's have a squad we can only dream of and they're all playing out of their skins - can't say I like their Italian style counter -attacking defensive football, but it's highly effective.

Still think we have a massive mountain to climb to achieve Top 4, because as I've said before we have around 14/15 players you can be highly confident of to start, beyond that, any injuries and we look vulnerable still...

It is Chelseas' to lose and United or ars*nal aren't in the title race.

Us, City and Liverpool can look unstoppable and also very vulnerable, whereas ars*nal are just as usual somewherre near the top.

Liverpool were my pick for the title at the start and I feel Klopp is too good not to get them out of their slump so I think the runners up spot is between them and City. Our chances are limited by what goes on in Porky's head, and he hasn't got the brains to win a title.

Think it is going to be close though for 2nd-5th.

Our spine is still the best in the league. Shame it's partly injured at the moment but we still have a good enough defenders to step in. Look at all the other clubs defenders, most of them are average.

It's the final third of the pitch I'm worried about as our back up players are just not good enough. Poch should be kicked up the ass for signing average crap for good money.

That is true RD. It isn't ideal with the injuries. If we can whether the storm and get the spine back fit and well we are more than a match for most.

We're in the mix so we have every opportunity but we musn't be complacent. One slip could prove extremely costly indeed. All being said though we have an extremely talented squad that should be nailed on for a top 4 spot at the very least.

No, but it means not having to sell players to pay for the ground.

Seems the chasing pack have given up, we need to take advantage.

We need to get a good lead over some teams and go all out for the cups.

Liverpool are free falling. 2nd consecutive defeat to a team fighting relegation.

Just put this in match thread

We can't continue to blow chances to pull away after results in our favour - perfect chance to stop this tonight.

Results went for us massively today, let's make it count
