Quick Preview - Rotherham v Salford City

We should see a few changes tomorrow. Surely Eyestone comes in for Cann and hopefully we have the return of Jellis and/or Spence.

It'll be interesting to see what AB does with the forward line too on Saturday. Does he persist with a lone striker and Tavares playing as a 10 or does he go with, for instance, Sebine or Lolos alongside Mullin? The latter had a lot of success at Wrexham with a big striker playing alongside him, the likes of Ollie Palmer or Steven Fletcher for instance, so maybe that's worth a go, especially at home. Either way, it's good that we have options in this area of the field.

One thing I have noticed about Salford is that they tend to dominate possession. In every game this season, they've easily had the most possession so it might mean we have to get used to long periods without the ball. Also noticed Macaulay Langstaff hasn't scored yet this season. Hmmm.

Enjoy the game everyone.

Personally think Alex Bruce will stick with Ted Cann in goal tomorrow.
If Jellis is back then that will be a bonus. Need to be patient and have a game plan if things go wrong.

Team news... 4-5-1? 4-3-2-1 ? 3-4-2-1?

Eyestone, Hall, Ngwenya, Otoo, Aljofree, Cover, Ashley, Austerfield, Nemane
Tavares, Mullin

Subs - Cann, Adeboyega, Fitzgerald, Buyabu, Lolos, Sebine, Bradshaw

Still out injured - Duncan, Agbaire, Jellis, Kaleta, Spence
HT : 2-2 [Millers scorers : Mullin (pen), Cover]
FT : 3-3 [Millers third goalscorer was Ashley]

Great entertainment for the neutrals, several spectacular goals, but we threw away two points by crass mistakes (as usual) against ten men at the end.

Eyestone did nothing wrong. I thought a draw was fair enough. We were dire until we scored our first two goals out of nowhere. Good in parts after that but quite a way from where we would all like us to be. Entertaining though - no doubt about that. Great strike from Joe Powell - one goal in two seasons for us and two in two weeks including a worldie for Salford. Unbelievable.

I think if he hits that shot from there five hundred times it goes in like that once. I don’t think that’s a coaching issue. He had good coaching for many years before he joined us. I’m not saying it was a fluke because it wasn’t - it was a fantastic goal - but I don’t think he’ll score another one that good if he plays for another ten years. Of course, it happened today against us.
