Thoughts...fair play rules and we skint in a way...best model of a team to put this right as 2yrs tried quick fix...time to say build a backbone in a team and work from thr...even if it takes 2yrs more etc..

The only thing 5/6 loanees do for a club, if they're not bought at seasons end, is give an inbuilt excuse for continued season after season failure.

I'm not saying that...I'm 50..seen us in shit before..like yow...it's a quick fix to get back up with us being skint...all i saying...same with new manager..we cant seem to stabilise..we won't until we build a team that stays together and learns how to think together...european team built over a few years.....but a backbone and additions to that team...that's where we should be agn...its now the same challenge to get out of here..imo

That team wasn't packed with stars..too us yes..but a team that knew each other..where they are..if it wasnt for shaw and withe partners....with the backbone...it wouldn't have worked..its the european cup team needed to get out this league in away..youve got to have backbone and add to them...no manager will sort it without it..

What you say is true Jase Villa.
To stand a chance of success you have to have a team with a spine that runs from keeper, through centrebacks, through cental midfield, to centreforward.
These five have to be the rocks on which the team is built.
Around them you can have the runners and flair players.
As long as each knows his job and they all work in tandem, the chances of success are greatly increased.

It's the lack of any attempt at building which is the killer. Players benefit enormously from having a system, and being coached to play that system along with their fellow players. Bruce doesn't seem able to improve players so gets in loans to try to compensate. Think if we'd had no loans this summer we might actually have a better side, even under Bruce.

If we get promoted we need to already have a core of a team which is good enough to play in the PL; you can't rebuild as soon as you're promoted. We're getting nowhere near that.
