Gary Neville is totally unpretentious , I think he drives a Toyota Prius or something.

I lot of people don't like him but I think he is a credit to his profession and this story only confirms that.

Fair play to them letting them stay for the winter. In all fairness it's not up to Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs to solve the homeless problem, so this is just a great gesture on their part.

I've seen some articles on American states and cities making huge strides in ending homelessness, with the Housing Fist initiative. Amazing what can be achieved when a simple idea is put in place to genuinely help people, without any ulterior motive involved.

 
Well done Giggs and Neville, one fantastic gesture......excellent.

Though reading the report, this statistic makes me think we've got things wrong in this country.....again. That is; "According to the latest statistics published by Crisis, 280,000 people in England approached councils last year seeking assistance, while 7,581 slept rough on the streets of London, a 16% increase on the previous year".

But we're more than happy to take boatloads of foreign 'refugees' and house them, but we can't look after our own homeless. Pitiful really.

 
Oh ffs Pride, don't try to turn this great good news story into yet another crusade about immigration. We know your thoughts and we can have the debate but please, let's not tarnish such a positive story with it, take it somewhere else.

That doesn't help them with security at all, all they would need to do is lock the doors, gate around the building site and sorted.

They are just being good guys. Sometimes I think things should be taken on face value personally!

I didn't mean it cynically, what I was trying to say is those guys will be giving something back by making sure those premises are protected from the copper thieving gyppo's etc. I have only heard good things about Gary Neville from everyone who knows him.
