QPR v Villa 18/11/17 15.00hrs K.O

Going tomorrow.

Dont know if I am looking forward to it or not.

Always look forward to away games (although prefer em up t'north) but I have a horrible feeling about tomorrow.

QPR are a weird team, they can beat Wolves but then lose to Sunderland type of team.

I was very optimistic on our promotion chances, but that was 95% made up of the fact that Terry, Jedinak and Kodjia will kill this division.

The problem is, without them, I fer we are a team that will finish about 12th.

And for tomorrow. God to I want a win, we need a win or we will be way out the top 6

But, i think we will be coming away on the end of a comprehensive defeat.

2 or 3 nil to QPR.

Please Villa - prove me wrong. I honedtly dont want to part with over 100 quid and a day of my time for that !
 
holtelower and all Villa fans going tomorrow and spending so much money doing what they like, so wanting a good day out, deserve much better than living in hope of the unexpected.
 
Yes it is a lot of sheets Sillhill, its what its going to cost me Tuesday and every other game I come up for, and I sometimes wonder why I bother.
But Im sure there are a lot on here who suffer for their addiction, but we keep coming back for more.

Back in the early seventies, whilst still at school, I would work 8hrs on a Friday evening, Saturday nights & Sunday for £2, that's 25p per hour ... collect bottles, paper round, anything to see the Villa home and away - but they were good times, on the up times
 
Last time I went to qpr we done them 2-1, was under DOL I think and Nobby Solano scored for us , I'm guessing around 2004
 
I think that might have been when Fulham played for a couple of seasons at Loftus Road.

Even with the few we have out, one of our best performances of the season came with Keinan upfront on his own v Norwich.

If QPR come at us, which they will, if we can sneak the first goal it will set us up very nicely.

It would be just like Villa to go and win when you least expect it.
 
I've been looking to see what other strikers we have in the under 23s besides RHM who seems to be injured all the time. Harvey Knibbs, Kelsey Mooney and Harry McKirdy. The only one I've heard of is McKirdy who appeared in a few of the friendlies this summer and spent some time on loan at Stevenage.

Will one of these lads get a chance in the next few weeks or will we pack the bench with defensive players?
 
Yes AMS78 that was a 2-1win over Fulham at loftus rd , midweek game .

I just can't see where the goals will come from in enough quantities for promotion now

And if Samba fills in for Terry or Jedi goes back there.

Having just read JFs update on our injury crisis to the forwards I am filled with doom and gloom.Very sorry to come on here miserable, but I couldnt see us winning before I read that piece
and I am now convinced we will get nothing at all.

To be fair though as far as I can recall we've been pretty much unbeaten with Davis on his own up front.

Before Kodjia returned from injury we beat Norwich 4-2 and then had 3 draws against Bristol City, Brentford and Boro all with Davis as the lone striker.

Could be argues all 4 of those teams are better than QPR.

Let's ditch the doom and gloom ladies. We've only lost twice in 3 months.

I'm backing us to nick this 2-1

Interested maybe Davis works best as a lone striker, holding the ball up and linking with players like Onomah and Adomah .

If we can keep a clean sheet we have a chance
 
Well the large Veggie Breakfast at the poshest Wetherspoons in the world at Witney on Thames has gone down well anyway.

At this stage of the day I usually have total blind optimism that we are going to run riot but just not feeling it today.

If anything, I am more fearful than yesterday.

Come on Villa, make me wrong !
 
By the way we could easily field the same team that played so well at Preston bar Terry , so I don't get all the negativity.
 
Lots of doom here. Kodjia has done nothing this season, nor has Hogan. We'll miss JT though. Davis up front on his own with Adomah and Onomah, or maybe even Grealish, feeding off him. Can't see anything other than a Villa win, 3-2.
 
QPR are very good at home (5 wins & 2 draws from 8 home games) so a draw wouldn’t be too bad. Even though they are 15th, they could close the gap to just 2 points as it is all so close. That is what makes the Championship so interesting. JT will be a big miss as Samba always looks to have a mistake or two in him and Jedinak, if he plays, has to be tired after all that travel. Hopefully QPR have an off day but I am not confident that we have enough goals in us. 2-1 QPR, I think.
