Alert Team
Time to focus on Saturdays game and we it is vital we bounce back from the Sheffield Wednesday game.

2-0 to us , but it is a tricky game , no doubt.

Something I thought about that I hadn't seen mentioned is that when Terry went off last wee , Chester had to swap over to the left side of defence so he was playing out of position . I really would play Jedinak there and leave Chester on the right hand side.

Looking forward to this, haven’t been to Loftus Road before so somewhere new for me. I don’t care how knackered or jet lagged jedinak might be, he’s a better option than samba or even elphick!

Not sure people are being fair to Samba here , Jedinak is needed in midfield not in defence .
Samba is a more than capable CB just as experienced if not more experienced than Chester.
Preconceived ideas of Samba seem to be based on his past reputation as a mercenary type rather than anything else , a bit like Whelan is judged by some before he even kicked a ball for Villa .

Slightest mistake and bang lets jump on them sort of thing. Yes he let a ball through his legs but he also Scored when nobody else could .

Lets not destroy another player before he's hardly kicked a ball in anger.

We have bigger problems than someone filling in at CB for a couple of months, I don't think we need to be using our best midfielders when we have defenders who can fill it .

I don't have a problem with Samba , just that it means Chester has to play on the left , so it may unsettle him as well.

Possibly the worst ground you will ever go to VillaTom.

Did you go for the gold or silver restricted viewing ?

Bizarre way of selling a ticket.

The BT School end Upper-Gold
blockY6 row L seat 74
gold all the way baby
:35:

I am lower tier gator.

:21:

I can't believe you can have a stand behind the goal and still not be able to see the whole pitch.

I know mate it is pretty crap mind you in this case the ground does fit the area Shepherds Bush is a bit of a shit hole.

After a break you'd think we have time to regroup and should come out firing. Instead it's usually as though we have just come back from holiday. This is likely to be the same; wouldn't be surprised at a 2-1 loss.

I think it would help if Bruce changed the lineup for this one, concentrating on players who haven't been on their travels. So I'd drop both Whelan and Jedinak, definitely keep Hutton at left back. Stick Hourihane and Lansbury in mid-field. Shove Elphick in defence. Bring Jack back in. Stick De Laet at RB and Elmo in place of Snoddy.

Think it'll be same old, same old, though.

Yeah ive not heard great things. I’m in the lower tier which was £29 so think it’s silver. Can’t possibly be worse than Portsmouth though?!

I agree with you McP. It need freshening up. The Sheff Weds game taught us that. We had a good run with the same team, fair enough, but in my opinion a decent manager knows when to tweak and change a team. Even the top sides who win week in week out will tinker to a degree pretty much every week.

In regard to the game. I have a bad feeling about it. They have beaten wolves and sheff utd in last two home games so will not be easy.

The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa this Saturday.

Love the old school grounds personally, was a great atmosphere last season - I sat in the home end given the lack of view in the away end which a few more Villans seemed to do but a good away seat this year.

Will be a tough game, QPR have hit some recent form, they beat Sheffield Utd a few weeks ago.

A draw would not be the worst result, three points would be two better. :17:

1-1

Will be interesting to see what changes are made. We’ve been horrendous following the international break recently and Brucie admitted he made mistakes with playing jaded players.... I think the Irish boys will be fine due to minimal travel and not actually playing, but Jedinak and others may be rested ...
