QPR v Swans

We’re back in action on Boxing Day, with an away trip to QPR for our next fixture. Their manager Mark Warburton is under pressure after a poor run of results, one win in ten matches and seven without a win. His two year contract runs until the end of the season but if results do not improve he could be gone a lot sooner.
This season has been a struggle for them, with last season’s main sources of goals Ebere Eze, Jordan Hugill and Nahki Wells all moving on. They sit in 19th spot in the table and four points above the relegation zone.
For the Swans our last away game ended in a shock 2-0 defeat to struggling Derby, who hadn’t won at home all season and had only scored 8 goals in their previous 18 games. Our fans will be hoping the players turn up for this one and will be looking for the team to bounce back with a much improved performance.
There is the small matter of an ex-player of ours in the way of that, Tom Carroll, who promised so much when he was with us but delivered little.
He will be looking to prove a point on Saturday, so one to keep an eye on.
