PRP Injections

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Fascinating stuff.

Having this done on Monday for my right arm, if it works they'll do my left.

Had a tendon problem from training for 12 months, I didn't want to go down the steroid injection route really and this has been recommended by the specialist.

Amazing how medical science progresses

Hope it goes well mate. I must admit I'm worried what the long term effects on the body will be with keep on having the steroid injections.

yeah, fascinated by this one, was hoping he'd do both arms at the same time to save hassle but hey ho.

With this injury, because I won't quit training, I didn't see steroids as a good option as I think it would have just masked the pain and I could then have made the injury worse.

Strangely curious about this one, be great if it is successful as I have had to hold back a bit on the amount of weight I've been lifting for some exercises, although as I said in weights thread the other day, I did manage over 1.5 times my bodyweight with a deadlift, hoping to get to double bodyweight.

Eddie Hall does these weights with his little finger I think!

All went well. Was interesting watching the process, fecking big needle mind you!

The blood being shaken and the platelets separating is fascinating. So the red blood cells go to the bottom of the vial and the clear/yellow tinged substance is at the top... that's the platelets that are re-injected to kick off the healing process.

80% success rate, hope I'm in that % and not the 20%!
