Proud to be British! Which PM over the last 40yrs ticks that box most?

Clement Attlee was PM when I was born and, together with Churchill (for very different and, by that stage, historical reasons), I think they were the greatest PMs in my lifetime.
Coming more up to date, Maggie I could never abide and I think John Major made a decent (but eventually unsuccessful) fist of clearing up the societal mess she left.
