We all know that it is no longer acceptable to used the words "chairman" or "chairwoman", which, for reasons of political correctness, have been superseded by "chairperson". To keep things in line with this development I propose the elimination of other gender based words:
Obviously, words like mother, father, grandmother and grandfather are more than descriptions of a role, they are a biologically defined role, having provided the ovum and incubated the foetus, there is no doubt that this is a mother, similarly, the provider of the sperm to fertilize the ovum and thus create the embryo that will develop intro a foetus and onward is still the father. The same logic should be applied to the roles described as "grandmother" and "grandfather", however, other roles are defined purely on basis of gender with no part defined by biological function, with this in mind I propose the elimination of the words "brother" and "sister", to be replaced by either "sother" or "brister" (sibling sounds too much like a BBC period drama) - to be decided by committee. Further, I propose that the words "aunty" and "uncle" are replaced with "auntcle". Finally, the words "husband" and "wife" should be banned, leaving only the gender neutral "spouse" in usage.
