Why bother?

These papers are Tory papers. Their owners are wealthy, tax dodging businessmen or landed elite.

Their readership overwhelmingly support these kinds of views.

This is always going to be the case.

If you want to go after anybody, start with the Torygraph, whose personal sponsorship of Johnson to No.10 is not only nauseating but genuinely raises questions about cronyism and Johnson's suitability; aside from all the other things that already do so.

No point railing against the Express, Mail and Sun for just being the Express, Mail and Sun.

You would be better asking yourself why the Guardian, Mirror and I are so totally lukewarm on Corbyn and inclined towards non political headlines rather when their right wing rivals use every single front page to sing Johnson to the rooftops

I'll give you an example because you are not capable of remembering stuff from earlier posts/debates, which is very disconcerting for someone who brags about history being his thing

What is disturbing is that you think you have explained some kind of fact, when in actuality you have just gone on unhinged rants.

I don't think anyone on this forum really has a clue what the hell you are talking about any more. I'm sure it makes sense in your head. You really do sound insane a lot of the time.

Still, there are plenty of adults on this forum. Your posts aside, this had been a really good debate so far and conducted without animosity.

I'll continue debating with people who live on actual planet earth, and you keep throwing out meaningless capitalised phrases, believing you are somehow scoring a hit and the rest of the forum is nodding their heads at your sharp wit

Love the fact that you know what other people are thinking and understand and that you are some semblance of sanity and moral fortitude

You carry on playing in your little sandbox and try and create a narrative that makes you happy because you dont like to be proved to be wrong or for other people to have different views to your self

Its not a coincidence that you have more arguments with other posters more than anyone else and it's no coincidence that you Trott out the same old shite with the same character assassination attempts when you dont like what is being said

For me, Boris is a liar and Corbyn is an idiot.

Plenty of literature about them both but just listening to them for five minutes will tell you that.

Unfortunately they are the only viable choices so what to do?

I am sticking with my policy of voting for the person I want as my local MP. Think that’s all you can do when the choice is between eating shit or drinking piss...

When i buy a paper i read the football , horse racing , occassionally attempt the crossword , look for scantily clad females and i'm happy with that.
Politics never gets a look in.
I couldn't tell you if a newspaper is right wing , left wing or goalkeeper .

The labour party loves to cannibalize itself, they blame the Tory media but 90% of the time they could just sit back and watch them implode anyway.

I'm not really arguing. Just responding really.

The left of politics all over the world can never agree. CP is absolutely right; while right wingers can easily make allowances and compromises with each other, the left cannibalises itself. Those on the hard left, like my good friend DF are always the worst culprits; they demand ideological purity and will happily throw away power over a country to maintain purity of the movement.

This is what has happened to Labour. The hard left has seized control and spent four years purging the party of people (like me) who are centrists and not ideologically pure enough. They ignore opinion polls because they don't care about real power; I think the idea of actually implementing their policies scares them.

They would be delighted with a hard left Labour party polling 20% and they would still attack centrist left more than the right wing they have allowed into power. They don't care about winning over actual voters. Their attitude is that they don't want these people's votes when they are just Tories anyway.

Any reference to the most competent and successful Labour government in history is heresy.

Look back in history and we see the same thing over and over.

In the early 1930''s, the German Communist Party (KPD) were under orders from Comintern to attack the SPD (socialists), NOT the nationalists and Nazis who were actually in danger of coming to power. Meanwhile Hitler, who made a name as a man so intolerant he could and would never compromise or share power with anyone, reached a coalition compromise (temporarily of course) with the Nationalists).

People like DF will attack people like me three times more than they will ever attack the Tories.
