Maybe best to have quality over quantity ?

I could fill my wardrobe very quickly with a load of gear from Primark , but would I have a quality set of clothes ?

But people were commenting on the size of the squad, not its quality.
I think it was 32 shirt numbers and at least two were likely to go:
1)Sitti on loan as he needs experience
2) Lewis to leave or McCallum to go out on loan

Last promotion season from the Championship we had injuries during the season - average of 4?? We already have two long term injuries in Oxborough and Byram. Then you add in Hanley, Famewo, EMI, Dowell........

32 - (2 + 4) brings us to an effective squad of 26

If we then include the unexpcted loan of Sinani the effective squad size becomes 25 and Farke likes a squad of about 25.

Furthermore we dont know if Famewo or anybody else is going out on loan.


As for quality thats another issue. I still think that even if Sorenson converts to a DM we still need 2 (make it 3 when Skipp goes) more quality deep central midfield players to replace Vrancic, Ruup and McLean.

While Argos is useful for getting the opposition tired we need to find a quality fast winger who is not so predictable.

So yes YB. we need a quality upgrade of the squad too.

The squad must be two too big if we have to send SEVENTEEN of them out on loan !
