Sangaré was very good in the #6 role. Without him on the pitch, Anderson does not have that game. He is inked-in for me.
We haven't had a 'proper' #6 at Forest for a generation, and not many Forest fans appreciate the 'under the radar' work that goes on. Without him in these three games, we would not have 5 points.
Yes, he needs to improve his passing when under pressure, but that will come.
issue with sangare is he often seems to be a few seconds behind the game and is always recovering. plus his passing can be somewhat wayward, don't know if it's a concentration thing. He seems to have ability but he's not quite there, not yet anyway.

88% pass completion on Saturday, in a team that had an overall of 75%.
Recovery is a big part of the game for a #6, as they are protecting the defence by intercepting/breaking up.
I'm not saying he's perfect by any means, and he did have a couple of ricks, but overall we are a better team with him in there.

The problem Sangaré has with a vocal minority of fans, is with that price tag people are expecting him to be like Rodri.

I am obviously sick cos I am agreeing with you now.

he is there to win the ball and pass it to someone who can play (on his better days he can see the Hollywood pass). he largely does this.

It really winds me up when i see opposition players just cruising past our midfielders like they aren't there though.
Sangare in a 2 vs 3 opposition midfielders probably isn't his game. We improved quite alot when Yates came on (again).

Sangare is important to the way we want to play.

Despite his good work he is prone to making mistakes, but that should not mean we have to change what we are doing.

Sangare's importance has not gone unnoticed by the opposition; even when teams do not adopt a press, they make sure he gets as little time on the ball as possible.

Most of his mistakes are misplaced passes or giving away free kicks in bad positions, mainly as a result of being hurried the moment he gains possession.

This is something he has to get used to and deal with.

People were highlighting our poor home form after Saturdays game, and there is no question it is very poor, but I am not sure Nuno is the one to blame for this.

He had to play the hand he was dealt last season, but he has had a pre season, this is his team, and there are definite signs of improvement.

If you look at our home form for last season, we won five games which is not good enough; look a little deeper and you can see the root cause.

We conceded more than one goal in a game on 9 separate occassions; that is no basis for winning matches.

The defence has definitely displayed signs of improvement; that improvement has come from the defence being more organised and working as a unit, by signing what looks like a top class defender, and by having protection in front of the defence - hopefully there is more improvement to come.

Conceding two goals in the first three games is not a bad return, particulary when you look at the manner in which we gave away the goals - one was down to individual error and the other was unstopable; teams are having to work much harder to score against us, and that can only be good.

Having a stable defence will not only cut down the number of goals we concede but it will allow the players in front of the defence to play with more confidence, which will hopefully result in more goals.

totally agree. surprised it was only 9 games cos at the start I had the feeling we shipped 2 goals a game!

as you say, stability goes a long way and we really haven't had much in the last few years.

on balance the brie looks inviting and the team is at room temperature.

Yates is not disciplined enough to play a #6. He gets pulled out of position too often chasing the ball.
What Yates offers when coming on is a much needed injection of energy; something that he can do for 15-20 minutes, but can't for a full 90.

Also doesn't have Andersons quality

But great as someone to come on and make an impact
