Agree with all that, and it’s concerning that we aren’t scoring many goals or creating too many clear cut chances. I have to say that I don’t think some of our attacking players are anywhere near as skilful as they should be in the final third. I’m watching Villa now, and whilst of course they’re well ahead of us, you can’t help but notice how good on the ball their attacking players are and how direct they are.

Elanga has gone from looking a really promising player to a championship level winger in the last few months - no real skill or drive to get around his full back. The alternative is playing Anderson or Dominguez who don’t carry any attacking threat at all.

CHO is the only one outside our strikers carrying any real goal threat and he has the ability to unlock. Jota is promising as well, but Sosa looks nowhere near good or strong enough. MGW for all his quality is shocking in front of goal, as are all CDM’s and therefore when you put all that together, we lack goals or real cutting edge.

In January if we get all of our midfielders back fit, I’d sell one of them to raise funds for a goalscoring winger/number 10. We need a serious injection of skill and goal scoring ability in this team
Yep. Sell Dominguez,

I think it's just football basha. Ups and downs.

Overall performances have been positive this season including 2 draws at home where we were the better team

Even yesterday when we didn't play well a draw would have been a fair result
We have had one very good performance. The rest have been ok. Beyond that our home form has been shocking since Nuno took over. This isn’t an up and down, it’s a problem that needs fixing if we have legitimate ambitions to progress.

Our home form before came from wins where we set up far more negatively than yesterday

When's the last time we have started a game with 2 strikers for example?

We were set up to counter at pace. There was a clear plan. What we have now is neither one thing or the other.

Arguing that we were positive because we had two strikers on the pitch is disingenuous when you consider the overall setup yesterday.

We haven't won a game at the City Ground since 2nd April. We've won twice at home in this calendar year. Twice at home, in nearly 10 months. Nuno has my support and the progress in this team is there for all to see, but if home form is not addressed it will be his undoing. He won't last the season if he can't sort it out.

But we have 9 points from 6 games?

And we've only conceded 5 league goals

That's top ten performance levels

both can be right at the same time, it just depends on what people choose to focus on. home form isn't good enough right now. At the same time we look much improved and have more points, despite missing some of our best players.

Remember Williams getting his achilles trod on last season against West Ham ? Much more of a penalty than the Murillo one yesterday but surprise, surprise not given , it's a fucking farce.
I agree that Williams should have had a penalty against West Ham United. But that was last season! Short of actual bribery and corruption (e.g v Anderlecht), or trophy- denying decisions (e.g. Gazza in 1991 FA Cup Final), I don't think that resentments about referees should be nursed that long.

I was just using that as an example as they were both on the achilles.
Don't worry we'll be getting fucked over plenty this season.
It's already started.
