Premier League match thread: Nottingham Forest Vs Chelsea, sponsored by Tottenham Hotspur

In spite of another defensive and tactical shit show today, my stepdaughter is a now a Forest fan. First time she's been to a proper league match and she loved it. Mull of Kintyre at the start gave her goosebumps apparently and she absolutely loved the banter with the other supporters.

Thought we looked threatening first half, picking up the loose balls and a couple of good chances with finishing right out of the bottom drawer several storeys below. MGW shot was certain to miss and Awoniyi's effort was piss poor.

Second half was the typical story of crap set pieces and stupid goals. Missed a few sitters, but seemingly little to no tactical plan once again. Glad he's gone, because this is depressing.

We need to hit the ground running, because if we are in this mire in January I can see us losing Anderson and a few other key players. Then we are really fooked.

We have lived under a new world order since early 2020, have you not made the connection between the worst politicians in power in history being both sides of the house last 30 years?
Stop believing in elections, voting never got us anywhere other than closer to CBDC.

Awoniyi looked half the man he was previously - literally.

I thought he played very well. Huge miss within a minute, but like you allude to- pick a guy who hasn't played since May and chances are he's rusty and might miss something like that.

And obviously he was never going to last more than a half.

I think the bigger point was who didn't get picked.

McAtee, Kalimuenda, Bakwa, Hutchinson- about £150m of really good young players there, all dropped completely. That is particularly harsh on Hutchinson, as it's not even like he's being saved for the Porto game

He knew he was gone I think. Whether it was yesterday or a weeks time. The club statement didn’t even thank him for his efforts which is pretty much standard.

I doubt we will see him manage in England again. Certainly not in the Prem…

Had his fingers burned for sure. I just cannot fathom what the hell possessed him to do it.

Although even the most pessimistic over the appointment wouldn't have expected it to go *this* badly. I know I didn't.

Ego. They are both Greek and Ange had won a trophy. EM was swayed by that and ignored what he didn’t want to see.
