Pre season

Trying to get my free ticket for Villarreal and my area of the ground (part of LTE) is not available.

Wondering why that is. Building work?

Forest site says the B team beat Bournemouth u-21s 3-2, with familiar scorers - Dale Taylor (2) and Alex Mighten.

3-0 up at HT, made 11 changes and won 3-2.
Don't think NFFC should show highlights of pre-season games below first team level, IMO.

Unwarranted pressure for the kids.
The ages they are showing they need to be able to handle pressure by then

They film all academy games from under 9s upwards for analysis of performance

They are well used to being under pressure every performance review

At least twice per season

If you can't handle pressure don't get involved in elite sport to start with really

I mean from the fans.

I mean from the fans.
Again at the age they are showing clips they need to be able to handle the pressure from fans?

I remember when Lascelles was 18 ish Forest had told his dad they didn't want to put him under pressure by putting him in with first team squad yet

His dad (an ex pro basketball player himself) said he shouldn't even be trying to play pro football if he can't handle pressure

Pressure and pressure. Watching some kids games, under 10’s, the parents are often just abusive. Stood next to a famous ex England and spurs player watching his son. The only words he uttered all game was, “look up son, look up”.

Parents absolutely ruin kids football

I've seen them badly verbally abusing the refs many times and had to get involved telling them to look at themselves etc

Often the refs for kids games are young kids themselves

Horrible to see it

Sure. get that...

I just think it raises expectations by linking the official twitter account, with (what is basically) a training session against some kids...half of whom seemed shot by the time Taylor passed home the first: that was 12 mins.

As you said yourself, anyone could have scored the two that Dale stuck home.

The goals I saw looked like Sunday morning football! Lol

He makes the whole team tick and links the entire team together

Luxury is the absolute last thing I would describe him as

Without him in the team we would be so less dangerous to the opposition
if thats the case he needs to play in midfield, cos we simply need more goals from a 10 on paper. I 'suspect' that Ando is a more natural finisher so play him in front of Morgan whos the 8? I mean its possible the other way around but Im not convinced mgw can score a dozen.
Jhon Duran I see wants out of Villa with the hammers wanting him at around 40m. He seems a lively Awoniyi type and is also south american, shouldnt we be in for him?

Indeed: woeful level

Its just, as its pre-season, documenting a proxy training session AND keeping score, IMO, does the holistic side of youth football a disservice.

Rather, let them train behind closed doors, and away from prying eyes that might heap expectations that are beyond their levels.

Let them get the coaching they need.
When they're able to represent an EPL side, then showcase their talents.

Millwall tomorrow. Birth of Milo and Muro as partnership. That could decide 2 at back at least in next few games.
