Pre season

Awoniyi not travelled to Spain with first team squad. Club saying it's for personal reasons and not Injury related. Looks to me like he's on his way out. I was hoping for a Injury free season from him in a Forest shirt but if he's not even featuring in pre season then it's not looking good.

Only player in the squad we can't replace with better IMO is MGW

He's the only one to get worried about as he's such a unique player

There's not one player in the England squad who could do the job he does for us as well as him
 
We would have been better in most of the euros games with him in the team.
I'm surprised to say it but it's genuine. He's got the urgency we needed.

i think before long we may say replace him with anderson. until morgs gains composure in front of goal he's a bit of a luxury

He's out there with them now. Be interesting to see if he features in the remaining two games left over there.

Two interesting facts from this fixture.

Taylor and Mighten not in Spain but on U21 duty. With them in team run up a three nil lead by half time. Powell and Donnelly in a strong first half team.

Change all 11 for second half. Still a good but very young team. B’muff score 2 late consolation goals. Game never in danger.

Youngsters Taylor, Mighten, Bott, Back, Donnelley, Powell get time here and are likely to go out on loan. Abbott is in Spain. Does this indicate he is ready to step up or Forest are short of a CB and he fills spot till Milo settles in. Toff played 45 in back 3.

Would suggest the named youngsters plus Abbott are potential loanees. Hopefully championship level. Onsong already on loan at Rotherham.

I agree with this although it was more true under Cooper than under Nuno imo. I've noticed we bypass MGW more often these days because CHO and sometimes Elanga are so good at also getting us up the pitch.
When he's in form he's utterly unplayable though.
