Manchester City begin their pre-season schedule on Wednesday 20 July at the Allianz Arena against German champions, Bayern Munich.

It seems that the City v Dortmund fixture on 28th July will be shown on Sky.

Playing in Shenzhen, China the kick off will be 12.30pm BST.

I was getting excited about pre season friendlies but I've just remembered what tedious, sterile, turgid affairs they tend to be.

Nothing's at stake, everyone's feeling their way and trying not to get injured - and we all know what the new kit looks like so even that's not interesting...

I'll probably be more enthusiastic nearer the PL kick off.

 
City are to play a closed doors game against St Johnstone in midweek, hopefully we will get some sort of report from the Club, if not the scorer(s)
