PRE SEASON 26/27

I really enjoyed watching the match today. The quick controlled passing with a requirement to move it forward was so refreshing. A team and subs full of young players acquitted themselves really well. The link up play of Tonali with Bergvall and Gallagher was what we have been crying out for. Tel was superb and I am so glad RDZ has got him on track. He is showing all the excellence that his flaky promise has hidden up to now. As for Kinsky, he showed the justification of the opinions so many of us held of him that he had to be our number one. Three unbelievable saves and such controlled distribution with his feet. Brilliant!

Given this performance and with the promise of players returning and players to be bought gives so much hope for the season to come. Delighted with what I have seen so far.

Solanke is a better striker, Richi is a better impact player.

If we knew Solanke was to stay fit we should keep him, but he wouldn't be the best impact player as a sub, unlike richi, its a difficult one,
The stats don't really back that

Richi has a G/A every 183 minutes
Solanke 220 minutes

PL only

Once again we are reminded that he has two injury filled seasons with little pre-season training...

This maybe the first time in 3 years that this isn't the case; I like him as he has smarts and great control and can 'see' the attacking options picture in his head, he is strong, he has pace and he can hit a ball - he/we need a decent run now to get his body and head sharp.

If he gets that, we will be putting them away for fun.

You need luck in this business, on and off the pitch - he's had little of it this last 2-3 seasons. But I've seen his scouting reports, his analysts reports and of course the evidence of my own eyes - he's a quality player that just needs a good run - if he gets it we'll all be singing his name from the rafters,.

Finally, hopefully, we'll get crosses in and through balls that actually get to him - what a different world that will be!
