Powell

Just been asked a question by a friend who was unable to go yesterday.......where is Powell in all the celebrations.....he doesn’t seem to be involved or appear on many pictures?!!!
Can somebody put me right and clear this one up.

In fairness Hindley he has a point. To me it looked like he'd thrown his toys out of the pram, couldn't have looked less interested if he tried. Every player in full kit, he was in training gear. Slowest petulant walk to a trophy podium I've ever seen. Little acknowledgement to the fans. Stood at the back not participating looking miserable as sin. No idea why, but his body language told a story.

I think Nick Powell is quite a shy lad when it comes to the limelight he very rarely does interviews and tends to keep in the shadows maybe your reading to much into it I hope so anyway. His pass to Grigg for the winner was sublime

If ever a game summed up Powell that was it. Did nothing all game bar a few nice touches, then out of nowhere comes up with the defence splitting pass to win the game. He turns so fast when the ball comes to him with his back to the opposition goal it’s unbelievable. Never fails to impress me, never needs an extra touch.

Maybe he thinks it's all beneath him...who knows ? But stress will be the undoing of charlz and I'm only trying help.

never took notice about powell but hey if he knows something we dont and is moving on so be it
end of the day we move on too and with possible new investment we could bring in players of a higher standard (hoping)
like someone said powell might just be one who likes not to be in the limelight
my honest opinion is he carrys injuries and is prone to brake down anytime
one thing we dont want next year is to rely on nick and him be missing a few games if we are offerd 10m i would honestley take it and invest in another player
but lets not jump the gun and see what happens
charlz if i was you i would change my meds mate

after seeing that pic he looks happy enough to me

Seems happy enough in that photo so perhaps I was reading too much into his body language, I hope so anyway. And yes that pass was sublime. Hopefully he stays, though i guess it's dependent on a new contract from the new owners, though even then if another PL cane in for him I'd expect him to take that opportunity.

We’ll be in a big relegation battle if we lost him. Yesterday proved it, that squirel provided more of an attacking threat than Jacobs. Just don’t look like scoring when he’s not on the pitch.

I agree it was weird watching him walk out to the trophy presentation. Looked uninterested, but hey the man was playing on Manchester United in Champions league and is now winning the League 1 title. The club obviously won't interview him, it's his policy. Would have been nice to hear from our star player a couple of times throughout the season.

Oh and look out for a Powell highlight video this week ;)
