Powell and Grigg

At this level it may help to keep the best forward options on the field untill either the game is over or the match is heading towards a comfortable win.

Would any other team take the best player off Totaly in control of that game then makes silly changes and starts playing hoof ball to Vaughan

Powell was knackered after doing so much and was fading. We all know we have to manage Powells fitness carefully to assure he doesn't end up out injured, we know before a ball is kicked Nick will be likely subbed at 70 mins. Grigg did well but was starting to fade also after putting such a shift in. Vaughan was brought on to pretty much defend from the front and Connolly to try and sure up midfield -
fresh legs into a game that was played at a very fast tempo.

Think they were very reasonable subs to be honest.

To be fair they were starting to get on top when the subs were made. We have struggled after 65 mins in the first two, thought we made it to around 70-75 before fading today. Even without the subs possibly the outcome would of been the same. One thing that wouldn't of been the same is that Grigg would of held the ball better. Giving them less momentum and the defence a chance to rest every now and then.

Grigg appeared to be limping just before he came off, so a fair enough sub. Powell as we know usually only has 70 minutes in him and with sjoke midweek a fair enough decision also.

Thought Powell had a very good game, put himself about & won a fair few Ariel challenges. Got sod all protection from a very pi$$ poor ref and in the end ran out of steam a little. As to the ref ...what an utter embarrassment, gave nothing against the Forest player up against Kipre, should have sent off their player for the penalty against Grigg & totally bottled his original decision on the penalty for Forest. Him n Morsy cost us 2 points today...Great yeam performance thoigh & thst 1st 10 / 15 min was a joy to watch, crisp pass & moves when on the ball & good harrying / closing down off the ball. More of the same for the Stoke game!!!
