OK.....at Hoffenheim, as voted by their fans. Another nice article from Football London.

Ryan Sessegnon continues to win admirers during his temporary spell away from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 20-year-old is spending the season on loan at Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in a bid to get more senior experience and come back to north London a revitalised player.

With Jose Mourinho preferring Ben Davies at left-back and bring Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon to the club in the summer, Sessegnon was going to struggle for regular game time – likewise further up the pitch with the re-signing of Gareth Bale.

A move to Hoffenheim has so far proved fruitful and his performances were recognised as he won November’s player of the month award – an award voted for by the fans.

Sessegnon played in all four of Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga fixtures last month, a run which saw them win one, lose one and draw two. That included his first goal in a 3-3 draw with Stuttgart and an assist in his next outing against Mainz.

After the award was announced, Sessegnon took to Twitter to thank the fans for the support he has had since arriving in Germany.

“Means a lot to have been voted by the fans as the @tsghoffenheim Player of the Month and appreciate all the support I've been given since joining,” he said.

“Enjoying being a part of the team and will keep working hard to achieve our goals for this season. Vielen Dank! #TSG”

A number of Spurs fans were quick to react to the news as well, seeing it as a positive sign of things to come when the youngster returns to north London.

I'm pretty certain that he didn't deserve this award at all. It was voted via twitter so of course many spurs fans went and gave Sessegnon a vote. Similar to how Skipp keeps getting voted MoTM in all the Norwich polls, but from the sounds of things his plaudits are more deserved.

Any bit of positivity will help, regardless of how it is derived. Instead of being stuck in a dark tunnel, just being acknowledged is a good start. Hope it drives him on.
