Postecoglou appointed manager

Sorry Pope

That's patronising

I gave you some back

Not even sure why I answered a question

What do you think is a fair amount of time normally to give a manager ?

I said half a season at least

Ange wont get remotely close

So how long for the next manager?
Ok, let me ask you

Where do you think Nottingham Forest football club are most likely to be after half a season under Ange Postecoglou?

No bullshit, genuine answer based on what you have seen. And since he only ever talks about Spurs, what you have seen of him there too

Wolf won't answer something like that, because he knows he's talking crap.

His standard response is "it's so toxic he'll be gone soon anyway. I've accepted it already" to skirt the question whilst blaming the fans. As if those of us who aren't content with performances and results are going to cost the club some sort of golden era under our illustrious manager who wins trophies everywhere he goes.

Postecoglou will never work in the Premier League again. There isn't another club that will touch him, yet everyone outside our own fan base wants us to keep him because it's funny for them. Not because they think it's going to work, but because they don't care that it won't. Our superfan Wolf is on the same bandwagon as people who don't care about our club or what happens to it. People who would laugh at us as we get relegated sticking with Ange.

And he's got the brass neck to criticise other people's support.

But Chris Sutton and the lad who won Race Across the World said Spurs shouldn't have sacked him, so....?
Were they asked while still giddy from the cup win? I'm sure that game (diabolical as it was) changed a few of spurs' trophy-starved minds, at least in the short term.
I wonder what they were saying two or three weeks prior to that? And whether they would have him back now, seeing as he's really good and all..?

I didn't mention it as an example of contract law.

The question is what timeframe is fair to judge a manager.

My point is that in absolutely ANY other line of work in the world, an employee would start on 3-12 months of probation, during which they can be let go for poor performance at any stage.

You talk about fair.

In ANY results based job, how long would any employee, on probation, last without producing results?

If you hired a cleaner for your business and, after 6 weeks the floors were actually getting dirtier, would you feel it was only fair to give them another 6 months to see if they got better? Remember this is a professional in their line of work.

You would let that cleaner go 100%. You would recognise they weren't the right fit and were not going to do what you wanted for your business.

A teenager working at McDonalds who couldn't keep up with the orders or kept getting them wrong without any improvement would be let go after this amount of time. Postecoglou has had 8 games after today. If a 16 year old was a disaster over 8 McDonalds shifts, they would not be put in the rota anymore.

That's real life

And don't fucking patronise me Wolfie.

Your hatred of the fans and virtue signalling is just tiresome. Toms is a fantastist who always likes the most inappropriate people because he likes to see the world burn, but you are a real person who knows better.

You know full well that he's going soon, so you are sitting back, content that your virtue signalling isn't actually going to cause any harm
I like to see the world burn🤣🤣🤣

You weirdo. Other than of course despising your leftist politics which is literally burning the country

Toms fantasy land: One bad result Vs Sunderland

Reality: Worst start of any Forest manager since 1925.
I’ve taken you through the circumstances , results v last year . All if it understandable.

You didn’t want him. You didn’t want to give him a chance. Your mindset was negative and destructive from the start.

Sorry, walk me through his 7 game tenure of 5 losses and 2 draws only having one bad result against Sunderland. Remind me again how being unhappy with that isn't fair on the big man and we're expecting too much to hope he might win a game this side of doomsday.

I'm pretty sure losing away to Swansea from 2-0 up was bad. I'm pretty sure drawing away at Burnley having gone a goal up inside 2 minutes was disappointing. I'm fairly confident losing 1-0 at home to Sunderland was dire. I'm absolutely certain backing that up with losing at home to Midjtylland in pathetic circumstances wasn't great.

In the two games we'd have arguably expected to lose, we not only lost comfortably but we did so conceding 5 goals, scoring none, putting up absolutely no fight and never looking like we might lay a glove on either Arsenal or Newcastle. We never looked like we were in either game.

That's pathetic, and making excuses and apologies for all of the above, and pretending only Sunderland was a bad result is even more pathetic.

He wont last half a season for us to find out

Half a season also doesnt happen for a normal manager who cant win a game. Half a season relies on a few wins sprinkled in

But ive said a few times without the fans fully behind him we lose our togetherness edge

Harder to win a game when youve lost the fans

Fans turning on the manager gives the players who arent delivering a get out of jail free card

I think a lot of our disappointing results are actually on the players letting us down.

So based on half a season like this we would remain down in the doldrums like we are

With a new manager we will likely do a bit better and hopefully with the fans fully onside

Nuno has fooked this season up for us

I cant give you good news either way

You know i would take dyche. He would steady the ship

Clearly that wont be good enough for many though

Ps you keep saying i hate our fans.

Plenty of fans who ive known a long time who are friends who ate frustrated this season but if i went to a game with wouldn't be slagging off everything they see. Like the ones around me do.

You would normally be like that disappointed but not just full on negative and destructive

You've bought into writing ange off and blaming him for our current woes and so have the vocal majority

In fact I've got some homework for you @toms

You say it was so bad before Ange took over, and this mess isn't his fault.

Find me a 7 game period under Nuno where he didn't return better results that Ange has done in his 7 games here. You've got plenty of games to hunt through.

Good luck.

I’ve taken you through the circumstances , results v last year . All if it understandable.
How is it understandable for Tottenham Hotspur, with the 9th highest revenue in the world, to finish 17th in the Premier League? Or to lose 22 games?

How is it understandable for a manager to lose 30 of their last 50 PL games given the resources of the clubs he has managed.

You didn’t want him. You didn’t want to give him a chance.
We didn't have any choice but to give him a chance.

It's not like it was hard. Don't have the worst start of any Forest manager for a century. All he has to do is not match or beat John Baynes from 1925, who failed to win any of his first 7 (but at least got three draws).

100 years of managers have been fine achieving that meagre feat. Not one of them had the benefit of £200m of new players at their disposal, plus half the England U21 team, or any Brazilian nationals.

Postecoglau has a chance to make history today. Anything other than a win is the worst start of any Forest manager in our 160 year history.

I think avoiding that isn't too much to ask?

Your mindset was negative and destructive from the start.
I'll actually be in the ground within an hour supporting the team on the pitch. What will you be doing?

Nice one, exactly as I predicted. Skirt the question, blame the fans, say it doesn't matter because you've already accepted he's going.

He wont last half a season for us to find out
That's an absolute cop out.

He won't last half the season to find out for a very, very good reason- because the results are atrocious. The worst start for a new manager since 1925, and the potential to be the worst ever within a couple of hours.

Postecoglou found it pretty impossible long before the fans had had enough

It's a very simple question Wolfie.

If you really want him to have half a season, where do you genuinely believe we would be as a club if he had it?

Swansea we played a championship level defence on a cup night. Individuals errors. Mitjeland 2 individual errors. Otherwise pummelled them. Rest of the results were expected save for Sunderland where we pummelled them and they scored from a dodgy freekick. Newcastle individual error on the edge of the box.

13 new players. NES dumping us . Sold Elanga . New system. Has it been great ? No. But to get to the point of being completely disrespectful to a new manager within a month clearly shows the mindset of the “Never Angers”.

Anyway I’ve no doubt I’ve set myself up for maximum ridicule with the match soon to start.

Back your team and stop with the boos. We’ve had one very good half premiership season in 30 years. Thats a statistical anomaly
