Players to leave in January?

I reckon S Williams will go, plus maybe Malone as I'm not sure his head is in it now. Mistakes in the last two games by him have led to goals. Rumours on Facebook are saying Jeffries and Nicholls both want out. Not fussed if any of those go tbh.

I’d agree with that, a decent player but wouldn’t force his way into any of the top sides in this division, can see him ending up at Colchester.

You may well be right. On the other hand, if it`s possible to retain him, it would be useful as Nicholls is a smart footballer who, whenever twin strikers is the tactic of the day, prove an effective strike partner to a (new) speedy, big, strong, powerful centre-forward. IMHO, Nicholls is the best of our current group of strikers.

Then I’d like to see him look more up for it when he does have minutes.

Worth acknowledging that body language can be easily misinterpreted with many reasons behind it but I’ve not been impressed with him lately. Thought he was brilliant against Accrington but not seen anything else positive.

Has great movement off the ball and a very clever player. At his stage of career I would think he'd want to be starting games though.
 
I like Tom Nichols but he does seem to have lost his way. Jefferies is a interesting one he has rather dropped out of the picture since Dieng's return.Shaun Williams is a must go for me .He has no place in our squad now or in future.Mahoney is a possibility being on loan I would not be at all suprised to see him going to Cambridge.Malone has definitely had a problem of late clearing a few players back will allow more investment and in my view a better chance of turning things around.

FFP dictates for me let anyone go that doesn't cost if that's what they want in my view.Plus Shaun Williams regardless.Keeping players against their will rarely achieves anything.
 
S Williams - past it with a bad attitude recently
Lapslie - what does he do?
Jeffries - seems to be going backwards
Walker - not even good enough for non league
Alexander - i don't rate him at all.
Clark M OR Malone (don't need both)
Bonne - poor and he doesn't look to be any good.

That should bring the wage bill down by about 50%

I don't think we are miles apart.Although I don't think Lapslie is a problem in fact I think there has been significant improvement of late.Bonne is a interesting one I certainly would not mind him staying if other forward players are leaving.We definitely need to lose of few.

Only one I really disagree with is Bonne. He needs to be given a chance to play with a partner. Him ahead of Nichols has got to be worth a go.

I’ve always thought Jeffries is overrated; he runs a lot but has limited technical ability, no left foot, and often gets into great positions only to give the keeper catching practice.

Lapslie I feel there’s a player there, but not shown enough - and probably needs to be in the same position as Williams/Nichols, who are better options.

Malone I thought was the best player we’ve had in years, but has almost gone a bit like JET in the way he’s dropped so many levels since the start of the season.
