Players Injury Thread 2025-26

Let's hope that this is a thread that gathers nothing more than a passing curiosity and isn't populated with the proverbial long list of crocked Pool players.

Albie Morgan - Not been seen since his performance v Accrington Stanley on 08 July with a thigh injury bring the reported issue.

Tom Bloxham - A calf injury looks like being the issue for him missing the start of the season..

CJ Hamilton - a dislocated shoulder has been given a recovery time of weeks / months and he will certainly not be pulling on a tangerine top any time soon.

With the news tonight tat Ennis isnt looking good and Bowker now out both with calf injuries after today's defeat at Bratfud.
Add to that Honeyman out for 6-8 wks and Banks out for at least month all of a sudden the situation looks even worse.

Imray has torn his meniscus and is out for 3 months.
Gone back to Palace for treatment, op on Sat.
Huge loss.

Husband - out until December
Honeyman - out until early November
Banks - out until late November
Ennis - out until early December
Imray - out until early January

Crystal Palace wing-back Danny Imray has undergone successful knee surgery after being stretchered off during Blackpool’s draw with Luton Town last month.

The 22-year-old, currently on loan at League One side Blackpool, was initially feared to be sidelined for at least three months with a torn meniscus.
However, after returning to Palace to begin his rehabilitation, the Eagles’ medical team are optimistic he can make a quicker return, with his recovery now expected to take six to eight weeks.

Dale Taylor - tore his hamstring on Saturday.

Coulson going for an xray on his arm with concern that it isn't looking good.

Michael Ihiekwe was forced off on a stretcher in Blackpool’s 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers - but the issue isn’t as bad as first feared.
Able to go home and will be assessed over the next couple of days.

Morgan - felt his calf.

Coulson - see how he is.
Honeyman / Husband are back on grass.

Banks - came on ask a sub today.

Talk of seeing Imray in the next couple of weeks

Wednesday lad - concussion protocol unavailable this weekend.

“Albie’s (Morgan) got a scan today, so we’ll get the results this evening - I’d say he’s doubtful. Hayden (Coulson) will be back in contact training next week, so he won’t be available.
“George (Honeyman) is progressing really well with his rehab, he’s back out on the grass so he’ll potentially be back next weekend.

Morgan out for 6 weeks, calf tear.
Oof. That ones a sickener.

Even with all these injuries - only player I genuinely cringe at being in the lineup is Evans. Ashworth and Lyons have done pretty well, I really don't hate Fletch (but he's not Ennis) - just that CM where we're really threadbare.

Evans would be a bench option when Brown, Albie and The Hunnymonster are fit but he has shown signs of recovering some form in recent games. I would try to offload him in January. I would like to see more of young Upton and for Finnegan to be recalled.

Dale (Taylor) is doing really well - he’s ahead of schedule, Albie (Morgan) is the same.
“Niall’s (Ennis) injury is quite a complex one, so I urge caution with that, but he’s doing great with his rehab and the physio team are doing all they can to get them back to us as quickly as possible

Bowler injury:

Providing an update , head coach Ian Evatt said: “It’s his calf, I’m not sure how bad. It’s definitely a muscle injury and not just cramp. That comes from the huge physical output that we’re trying to give the players at the moment to become the team that I want us to be.

Coulson:
“He hurt his hip in the first half. It’s just the rough with the smooth with injuries at the moment.

“Hayden’s not too bad, he’ll miss Saturday but will be fine for next Saturday (away to Leyton Orient),” he said.
“Josh is slightly worse but not as bad as we first feared. He’ll probably be three weeks, but Hayden will be back next week.”
