It is a tester for us, but I hope the fans won't be too down if we don't win it this year, the advantage always favors those not involved in Europe, the last time Liverpool challenged for the title was when they were out of any European competition, surprisingly Leicester who are struggling in the League are having a fine debut in the CL
 
The Celtic game is in no way shape or form pivotal. We can lose that without it impacting our progress in any way
 
Celtic game is of nuisance value unless Pep usus it as a try out game for our young bloods.
All our games are important to us from now on.
I wouldn't be at all concerned about what the rags do or don't do.

David Silva and Ilkay Gündogan were given days off too, and Kevin De Bruyne came on from the bench, but Guardiola admitted City found it difficult to deal with Burnley’s aerial onslaught because “their players are taller than ours”. I would also point out that we also had a legitimate penalty shout denied for Lowton clearing out Nolito immediately before we equalised from the resulting corner. This seems to have caused it to be overlooked.

I especially do like the fact tht he didn't bring up the two games against Barcelona. Quality.
 
I also thought in the scramble for the winner that Yaya was fouled prior to the two Burnley players colliding with one another, and the ball falling for Fernie.

And another thing that annoys me about Wilson's suggestion is that the game would've finished level had Burnley been awarded the pen, there's absolutely no way of knowing what would've happened had it been given.

Rising -whilst good to see the turmoil at the swamp Id prefer to finish above Lpool. Kloop to me is just a giant twat. A populist pandering to one of the biggest bunch of twat fans in the EPL. Would love to see him eff off back to the fatherland to manage the german rags. That would really deflate the scousers.

To be fair the observation that's he's kept the squad fresh is heartening in itself, just some of what he's said after that is irksome.
 
So. 3 games into the aforementioned "Pivotal Eight Game Run" we are two defeats and a draw down the line and the team at Leicester looked anything but fresh despite the rotations taking us 20+ clear of Pep's change favouring rival Maureen.

Based upon current form across the league its not inconceivable that even with our cup commitments out of the way, both Spurs and the rags could catch us within 7 more days.

Troubled times and this situation is going to take some turning around.
 
I fear the Pep is not for turning.

His post match comments yesterday have filled me with foreboding - it's as if he is detached from the reality we have witnessed. I can admire someone having strength in their convictions and being determined to drive their vision and beliefs but........seeing your side get absolutely slaughtered and your defence torn to shreds twice inside 5 minutes but then discuss it so dispassionately denying that the system employed was a factor. I can appreciate not wanting to publicly criticise players but his reaction had me baffled and for the first time I am worried it will all end in tears. :013:
