Yep, and the Irish are all stupid and Germans have no sense of humour. Come, come, Northy. I wouldn't have expected you to fall into the National Stereotype trap. People who have lived in Japan, or with Japanese people say that they are no more polite than anyone else.

lol, this got me thinking. Do you remember a TV show called The Tourist Trap? (link to the show details below). It was probably the 1st reality TV show to hit our screens in the UK about 20 years ago.. Based in a hotel they would have various families from differing Nationalities to see how they react under curtain circumstances and low and behold the Germans did always seem to be the ones with the least sense of humour. I think they had Japanese as well in an episode or two.
I think we do have groups of people that act differently across the globe dependent on country, customs, history and culture...I suppose we could incorporate manners into this as well.
