Why would any manager who is at a club currently want to take over at a club with a net worth of

it would be tempting for the Cowleys, as this club is the closest league club to their family home and base camp in Chelmsford. Danny would need to weigh up whether he would be given the finances to do a job at Southend though.
If he were to see himself this time next year, with Lincoln or Southend mid table in Division 1, who would be the club with the most potential to kick on. I don't think the answer is one or the other, I would think we would be about the same, although Southend have the added advantage of being in the south and can draw players from London clubs etc. Lincoln have the advantage of work in progress and a good team already starting to be assembled by Danny. Could Southend afford a couple of our best players that he would want to take with him? I'm not sure.

on the face of it, southend look a bit further down the road on stadium plans - although they were originally talking about moving in 2006 [11 years ago - lcfc take note]. their latest drawings [21,000 seater stadium/cinema/hilton hotel/shopping centre] look pretty, but i wonder how realistic they are.
i also wonder what their training ground is like?

Something very fishy about their deal with a supermarket wasn't there? Weren't they effectively releasing equity out of the deal in advance of the stadium being built to pay their day to day running costs?
