Cardiff City state they have not received any confirmation about the Whittingham rumour.

However, a few Welsh Journalists are reporting it as fact and so is John Curtis (former Forest player); the significance of Curtis is that he is a Nuneaton lad just like Whittingham and was rumoured to be goods mates with him
