Pereiras red and white army

That one is more strange than Perreira

The only options I could see were Perreira and internal
After that, sure we could have called Maresca, Frank, or tried to approach Silva, McKenna or someone in a job, and chances are all were a no

It’s a 12 game season. We just have to stay up or we are royally fucked
Exactly. I’d guess all of those were non starters.

The way I see it, we’ve got a 12 game season with a 3 point head start and an outside chance of winning a European trophy!!

Who would you have approached?
I would have used the time to make contact with, and assess

De Zerbi
Maresca
Mancini
Terzic
O'Neill (Gary)
Carsley
Keane
Marco Rose

I would have been open to Solksjaer and on Wednesday I would certainly have spoken to Frank, on the off chance he wanted an instant return. We will be the level of his next job, for sure.

I could find more of these.

I am not saying they would all be available or willing, but you don't know unless we pick up the phone.

Did we?

Or did Marinakis just decide on someone he personally knows and likes for the second, disastrous, time this season?

Well i've backed us to get relegated but also backed us to win the Europa League at 14/1 .
I can't make my mind up if we're shit or shit hot . He's back .

I said no chance. Pope asking who we would have liked.
The idea would have been to stop relegation.....
You do your negativity, I'll keep myself positive.
Apologies, I read your comments as there being no chance of EM picking up the phone to call him, rather than no chance of Cooper taking it if offered.

Sorry but EM owns the club and it's his money that has got it where it is. You talk as if he is some sort of madman he'll bent on its destruction without recourse to any thought process or reference to the day to day occurrences happening before his eyes. He's seen his considerable investment perhaps going down the shiter and blamed it on the man he has just sacked, personally I'm fine with that.

De Zerbi wouldnt touch us with a barge pole, he wants control over transfers and he would not get that here - that was why he quit Brighton.

Maresca has issues with heirarchy; not sure he would be overly enamoured by our set up.

Mancini would take the job, but is that who you would want?

Terzic would be an interesting choice, but why has he been out of work so long? Two years this summer.

I just cannot warm to Gary O Neill for some unfathomable reason; I do not know why, because he always seems to punch above his weight, mainly in difficult circumstances

Carsley, yes fucking please - he is a great coach and man manager, but is he settling for the easy life with the U21's? Why has no one managed to tempt him into a role?

I presume you mean Robbie Keane, and not that fucking fruit cake off of Sky - If so, he is not doing too badly in Budapest.

Rose has a very good pedigree and he would be interested in managing in the PL.

There are some interesting names in that lot, but how many of them would fancy four months of fire fighting?

This is bang on!

In the same way, during the January window, we should have made contact with and assessed:

Erling Haaland
Harry Kane
Kylian Mbappé
Victor Osimhen
Lautaro Martínez
Robert Lewandowski
Alexander Isak
Julián Álvarez
Victor Boniface
Ollie Watkins

I'm not saying they would all be available or willing, but you don't know unless you pick up the phone..

Terzic is rumoured to be able to start a fight in a phone box and is mouthy with it so owners are wary. He also sees himself as a champions league level manager…

Wolves fans hate o’Neill but I think he could be decent given the right chance.

As for a four month job, Pereira supposedly got a contract til the end of next season so there are a few on that list who would have fancied their chances with that sort of payoff.

Ultimately though, Pereira got the job because he is good with the players and I think Marinakis will have understood that and believed that was the only thing that would get a positive reaction from the players given their alleged complaints.

This is the thing - we don't know until we pick up the phone.

Do you think we did?

I don't think the timeline supports that. At all

I could probably find plenty more before I would get to "Vitor Pereira, the guy who made Wolves probably the second or third worst team in history"

Did you think you were dead clever and funny posting that?

Welcome back to my fan club. Chandos will be around in a minute to give you a handy

In terms of your point, I think it's sad that you think that a group of managers who are either looking to get into the Premier League, would likely see it as a step up, have expressed an interest before, or are looking to get back in, is equivalent to a list of the most expensive players in the world.

I mean, I could understand your hilarious comparison if my list had included Ancellotti, Zidane, Klopp, Guardiola, etc.

But to make that dig with a list that includes Gary O'Neill and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer?

Assuming we stay up, from that list in the summer, Rose or Carsley appeal to me, the rest do not and id have Perreira over the realistic ones on that list

Yes, I did think I was dead clever and funny posting that. I'm glad you found it hilarious.

My point was to satirise your delusional thinking that any of those managers would even consider taking on the job with 12 games to go.

I'm sure Marinakis is sacking the backroom team at this very moment because none of your suggestions were contacted and assessed or even considered as potential options to replace Dyche:

"Get this Pope guy on the line, he knows his onions...why did none of you lot suggest we go after Maresca or De Zerbi eh??? of course they'd want to come to a club in a relegation fight with 12 games to go... it wouldn't matter to them that we could be in the championship next season... they know we're a stable, well run club....Pope?.. Hi it's Evangelos... can you get on the blower to these guys you're suggesting we contact and assess. I want them in for interviews ASAP. Make it happen!"

Thank you for letting me back into your fan club, I will look forward to Chandos giving me the handy you mentioned.

How do you know that not a single person on that list, several of whom are currently out of work, would be willing to take the job on for the long term now?

Yes, only 12 games to go, but we are not in Burnley's position, with their squad. We are actually in a favourable position to stay up in terms of points; our squad lacks a goalscorer, which is the problem, but little else.

And I seriously doubt that when Burnley sack Parker, they would have considered Pereira

The club who were rumoured to actually be talking seriously to Pereira before we came along were... Leicester City, 21st in the Championship and outside the relegation zone on goal difference

You seem to be taking lots of copium by inventing this fantasy of a careful worldwide search, done by Marinakis in days, and finding that the only manager on the planet willing to take on the 17th best team in England was the guy who had relegated Wolves

THAT is your funniest comment
