When asked about who's in the title race he responded:
"[In the title race] We have United. We saw again the Harry Kane team, scoring every week two or three goals"

Another classless manager, totally disrespectful towards our entire team and manager. It's easy to always go to the richest teams and try to buy success(Didn't work in Munich and City so far, despite the 400 million spent ).

As with Conte, he is simply diverting pressure. His goal is the CL trophy and anything less would be a failure, so he really should stop comparing ManC with teams on a quarter of their wage budget.

I always knew his humility was just a show, at least with Jose you get what you see.

Pep is a fraud of a manager.

He had the best team by a mile in Spain and Jose still beat him to the league

Munich he is see as a sulky failure

City - last year was a failure - they should have beaten Monaco in the CL and the league was poor

Hope United beat them to the title

Take Morata out of the chavs team, Lukaku out of Uniteds, Mane out of the scouse, Sanchez out of the gooners and what would they achieve?

Not every team can spend a quarter of a billion in one summer like you Pep.

:5:

It's bullshit. I have said before our defence is the envy of most PL teams. Dembele, Dier and Wanyama with Winks now back is some backbone. Then the creativity of Eriksen and Alli and we are a one man team ? We have a very good striker yes but he is our product.

Kane was out for a significant number of games last season and we still finished second and didn't do bad without him. It's a team game and sometimes you find a gem, but can't shine on their own.

Take de Bruyn out of City and they would be half the threat they are.

Keep it up guys , you may fool yourselves until Kane leaves, then what ?

Same as Spurs without Bale and Liverpool without Suarez, a one man team without their one man, how did that go lol ?

The 4 points dropped when Kane wasn't firing already look costly

I don't think he will leave anytime soon. He is not a mercenary like the other two.

We have looked clueless until Harry struts his stuff in enough games already this season for even the most blinkered to notice surely ?

I agree we're far from a one man team. However, when HK continues to knock them in week after week, (August excluded) which is his job, these mindless plumb sacks like Pep just focus on the scoring and not the process that put Kane in that position to do his job.

We're not blessed with big pockets, which must be embarrassing to the likes of Chavs, Citeh, Utd and the like when we punch above our weight, or at least are biting at the heals of the billion dollar brigade.

Actually, we didn't too badly without Bale and we recycled his money well....eventually LOL!

It's an oxymoron to call any team a one man team, and we certainly aren't.

Just look at how many goals we scored last season and who scored them; doesn't look like a one man team to me - but it does say our key target man was highly effective.

Of course, anyone claiming that losing Kane wouldn't have an effect wouldn't be entirely sane, but it doesn't mean we can't adapt and still succeed.

Actually pretty well, as since he's left we are on another level.

His best season saw us finishing 5th, we had a 1 season slump when he left where we finished 6th, and since then we finished 5th or above.

I would point out all the stats that point the differences between the 2 teams stated, but I'm sure it wouldn't change your mind. Imo neither team was a "one man team".

If we lost him we would have 150 mil or more to spend on replacements. Who can say what effect that may have ?

It will be more like £200 mill, although I do think that he is almost priceless and irreplaceable at the moment.

I can't see us keeping him forever, we just can't compete with the top echelon yet and I can't see him sticking around 3-5 years until we can.

If we sold Kane we would struggle to finish above 5th. He is the difference between 5th and 2nd so he is that important.

TrustmeIknow said it best.

There was a lot of discussion about not having a top class striker for years. Now we have one.

I don't see the problem. Especially when we have one of the top rated defenses in the league.

Pep was lacking in class to say that but, despite those leaping to point out what we have besides Kane, without him or with him when he is not firing we tend to look very average indeed.

It is a once in a couple of generations (maybe more) that someone like him emerges, and there is no doubt as to the impact he has on the field and in the squad - a player amongst the best in his (glamour) position in the world who is in love with his club. So much of the Pochettino Project is underpinned by the luck of having him.
