The same thing, if we do sign him it doesn't mean that Pep has called him.

Can't track down a name for th journalist.

The issue is that this journalist has alleged Pep has called Sanchez to "tempt him to the Etihad" and so Pep's denial is clearly about the false claim that contct has been made with the player by Pep.

The matter was raised in the presser by a Spanish speaking journo.
I think the journo in question is Chilean, or writing for a Chilean media outlet.
