I pad contributions for over 50 yrs all I am saying is that the basic pension should be the same for all.The point is Prem; You could retire at least two years earlier than todays generation therefore you've 'received' at least £13,416 more than you would if you had to retire now (£129 x 104 weeks). Also, today's generation, if they don't have the full NI contributions (i.e. 35 years) DON'T get a full pension and is likely to be the same or less than you currently get.
