Penalty incident - my apologies

Roughly at 07:55 - an excellent angle clearing up any doubts.

Leave your apologies below. Best one gets to do today’s Glenn Morris thread.

Clearing up any doubts it should have been a penalty?

You are of course correct that it wasn't a penalty because it wasn't given, by an useless, incompetent twat who wanted to be the centre of attention.

Would say that replay showed f all to change most peoples minds.

We know that sometimes they are given and sometimes not.

Just remembered Gills put a through ball to attack and it hit the referee ,ok drop ball to continue our attack ,no he gave salford the drop ball for the defence how does that work?

It's changed my mind. I thought it was a pen yesterday, but seeing that angle, no pen for me. A coming together shoulder to shoulder. The defender may perhaps clip Clarke's heel, but the angle there is far from conclusive. And then as the defender falls, he's absolutely nowhere near Clarke.

Haven’t see it back yet, but that’s exactly what I thought at the time.

And I’m not apologising for it either

The responses on this thread prove you right.

A lot of people decided it was a penalty yesterday based on emotion and self interest (or to be fair, in some cases simply a lack of understanding of the game).

Like with a lot of things, once colours are nailed to a mast no amount of evidence, logic or enlightenment (I tried) will convince them to leave that ship (whether it’s sailing or sinking).

It was a pen. Sometimes the referee gets it right some they get wrong. Dont give a f what anyone else thinks or thinks they have proven. Videos are indecisive whereas i am decisive.
