TV presenter Peaches Geldof, second daughter of musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, has died aged 25.

Police say they were called to an address near Wrotham, Kent following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman on Monday afternoon.

The woman, aged 25, was later pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden," said a statement from Kent Police.

She went from pudgy rich girl into stick thin waster in the space of about a year... it was inevitable, frankly.

What a needless waste of life.

This family seems cursed. Tragic. RIP

I totally agree, VERY sad, pitiful and heart rending for the kids especially.

I will say this though and not to be in any way unfeeling, but if people mess with drugs, excess drink and relationships, it is usually the innocent kids who take the fall and whose lives are ruined. Lives that cannot be repaired and are often lost forever.

Bad day for everyone. I hope someone learns something from this.

My instant assumption was either drugs or suicide. For her kids and families sake, I just hope it is a sad case of natural causes, though the cynic in me says differently

I hope the kids are young enough not to get embroiled in this legacy that seems to follow the geldofs/yates. I must admit that if there was someone to bet on dying young, she would have been high on the list. Maybe the kids can escape the fame and grief their mother had to put up with from a very early age. IMO it must have effected the girl.

RIP to the girl.

Call me bitter, but I have never liked Geldof (and Paula Yates) due to them telling about five of us (all sober) to fuck off for asking him to sign a "Bruno" baseball cap we had bought for a lad in a wheelchair at a Frank Bruno fight. Probably nearly 30 years ago now, but for that alone, I still dislike the man, though obviously I wouldn't wish this on him

tel - there hasn't been any suggestion of drug abuse related to the death............yet.

No I agree 'SPURF' but the family has a pretty bad history of messing with them and the rest of the life that is associated with it. I didn't actually say that she had if you notice. Of course the post mortem will show the real cause of death but I was just showing my concern where families have such life styles, that it's the poor kids who always seem to suffer. This girl had already suffered herself from the consequences of a heroin overdose in the case of her mother.

I went to school with her husband, so I'm just choosing to ignore any offensive comments or jokes made about this. I'd be shocked if it was drug related as she had most certainly turned her life around.

I didn't but I'd ignore them any way because there just wrong.

Its possible that her drug habit of the past may have had something to do with her death. It may have weakened her heart. The same maybe the case due to her drastic weight loss. Long term abuse of the body may have caught up with her.

Its a real shame because she seemed to have put all of this behind her and when I have seen her on tv, I thought she was a pretty credible presenter.

I do worry about people who think it's funny to joke about something like this.

she did say once "she had a heart like a 90 year old" not long after her doctors told her to stop constantly eating fast food. lost a lot of weight in a very short time after that. can't have helped.
