We have just passed the half-way point in the season and start the second-half this Monday evening in the hope that we can improve results and steer clear of relegation. Although there has been an improvement in performances lately it’s all about results and 7 wins from 23 games is just not good enough.
Another defeat on Friday has put us back in the relegation mix and 4 points from the drop zone after the four teams below us either won or drew their matches yesterday.
Its fellow strugglers Oxford at the Kassam Stadium up next, fresh from their 2-1 win over Southampton and sitting at home nicely for Christmas for their second consecutive home game. Meanwhile the Swans team had to travel Christmas Day and spend the night in a hotel in Coventry for the match on Boxing Day.
Then a days respite on Saturday before they’re off again on Sunday for another overnight stay in Oxford for Monday nights’ match and it makes you wonder how the EFL justify making this bizarre fixture list up.
Meanwhile our new head-coach Vitor Matos has had seven games in charge so far, for a 42% win rate, which is generally considered below average:

Let’s hope the Swans have got their shooting boots on for this crucial match after the glaring misses on Friday.
