Our frankly pathetic away record

These are the facts, not conjecture, not opinion, facts.
Since the start of the 2022/23 Championship season these are the number of points gained on our travels set against the number of games, it's frighteningly bad...
2022/23 23 games 17 points championship
2023/24 23 games 4 points championship
2024/25 23 games 21 points league 1
2025/26 23 games 14 points league 1
2026/27 3 games 1 point

total 57 points from 95 games

Negative tactics, poor quality players, managers who were happy to accept low- scoring defeats and then praise the players... or in the case of SE, blame the ref!
Not much original thought into how to try to catch out our opponents. Years of misery for travelling Millers fans.

It's very difficult to summon up the enthusiasm to go to away games.
The cost of tickets and travel are obviously the major factors but going when there is so little hope of winning is soul destroying.

Me and my son attended regularly until Warne left, then gradually lost the habit due to the depressing performances.

We can only hope that the latest management team can gradually influence our 15 new players (and the old ones) into a winning frame of mind as the season progresses.

Our loyal faithful deserve some reward for all their effort and expense.

Best team on the day won yesterday. Typical Steve Evans side . Difficult to beat and competitive. The Gas were one of my tips for promotion pre-season.
A clean sheet now and again may help even if it’s a scruffy hard fought point. Alex Bruce still has a lot to do and will be under no elusions how big the task is.
We didn’t move the ball quickly enough yesterday and some ( not all ) of the passing just wasn’t good enough. Corners, set plays are easily dealt with by the opposition. A better second half and we could have stolen a point right at the end.
Not checked so may be wrong……I think we’re 1 point better off this season than last season after five League games. One hell of a lot to do because we’re creating very little where it actually counts.

It wasn't our best performance to date but then again Rovers are top for a reason.
It's annoying that another goal keeping error cost us a point, it must be soul destroying for the rest of the team to put in so much work only to be undone in one opposition move.

It's not just Can that pushes out shots or punches crosses instead of pushing them around the post or catching the ball. You see it every week on the goal highlights from all the divisions.

It's become an epidemic in football these days and you can only assume that GKs are being coached into this frustrating way of dealing with shots and crosses.

I appreciate that some shots are too hot to hold onto but it seems to me that catching the ball is now the last option that GKs are wanting/told to take.

I hate it TBH.

Cann is worse than most though. Other keepers punch and parry but he drops it gently in front of him. You just know that every opposition manager we come up against while we have Cann in goal is urging forwards pre-match to follow everything up because they might a tap in. And all too often they do. It’s a glaring weakness and it needs sorting out. Either he does better or he has to be replaced. Sorry if that sounds harsh but it’s professional sport.

Can't disagree with anything you say.

Surely the Brentford lad can't be any worse.

I think that AB was hoping to get to the Paint Pot Trophy game, give him his debut, hope that he had a good game then would have kept him in the team.

He doesn't have that luxury after Saturday's latest mistake surely?

There could have been an awkward bounce when Ted Cann went to collect. The match balls these days are very lightweight as well. Not saying TC is the answer to our goalkeeper position and in the past in general we’ve always had quality goalkeepers. Our defenders could also be on the front foot expecting the ball to rebound out from the keeper. Is it coincidence the opposition players are first to the ball.
