Our Fishy Friends

Was he really en-route north to sign for them, when we nipped in?
The story was that Alex Woodward had played for England C team alongside Raggett and so was pretty pally with him. He told Danny Cowley that Raggett was looking for a move and was in talks with Barrow. Alex phoned Sean who just happened to be travelling up to Barrow with his dad to sign for them. Alex passed the phone to DC to persuade Sean that Lincoln was ‘ on the way ‘ and could he call in for a chat. Danny got him in the office , locked the door and wouldn’t let him out until the ink was dry on the contract. Possibly slightly embellished for dramatic effect but you get the gist!

A change of heart that neither club, fans or player went on to regret.

They really do look in deep trouble now, Hurst's record remains poor:
P10 W1 D1 L8 F5 A16 Pts4

No new manager bounce there, unless you focus really hard on the one win.

Mansfield are back in the mix too, after a great recovery when Clough first joined them.

You say back in the mix but difficult to look beyond the bottom 3

Meanwhile in Cleethorpes:

It appears Cap'n Luke is the latest to feel the wrath of the Blunders faithful, after Town succumbed to a 93rd minute equaliser in Cumbria.

He'd only been on the pitch for 90 seconds too :hmmm:
