Like last season give him the season to turn it around as opposed to just tweaking last season

Just a bit of fun , but I am interested to see what the general consensus is on here.

They'll keep him after last season's debacle but the writing will be on the wall by the end of October.Needs to be in top six close to Spurs for him to stay.

Doubt he'll see out the season but they've tied their own hands for now so my vote would be to sack but they won't/can't ATM

After Ipswich I’d have laughed at the thought of sacking him again, but now I’m not so sure. I’d like to see where we are in May and how we finish the season before casting my vote but at the very least, the coaching/ medical staff needs a massive shake up. It says a lot when Wilder himself admits his players’ are still not fit enough or mentally strong enough with just 7 games to go in a season, but coaching isn’t the only issue. He now says he wants players who can play 90 minutes. No shit Sherlock, the fanbase have been saying that for 2 seasons and yet time and again we bring in 45-60 minutes crocks who are at the end of their careers, players who have poor injury records or have been out injured for ages, and that’s been happening under his own watch time and again. Let’s not let hapless Selles’s fiasco and ‘his’ signings cloud the issue. As I said, I’ll revisit it later if this threads still live.

He has to stay while we have such clueless owners.

He should at least be allowed to do the summer recruitment. He won't leave us in the same mess. He needs to recruit leaders and fitter players.

Then it's up to him to have us at the right end of the league.

100& Blade should deffo stay and deffo dshould,nt ever consider any Bongo Bongo land geezer. Like the old saying goes, "Sheffield Born, Blades Fan Bred, Don,t Want Anyone Else Instead. Anyone pissed and dances on boozer tables at the expense of the pigs demise will always dfeffo do for me!

Parachute payments end and we have poor owners, by football standards. Who would come in and do any better in those circumstances?. Give him while Xmas and if we are below mid table replace him then. Whoever comes down will be top 2 anyway.

That's a good point and cuts both ways.
Their own cluelessness which engendered his return gave him the upper hand and,as BFL and I have said, who would come here anyway with them in charge?

I choose to abstain. The case can be made either way, and it isn't 100% clear cut.

We must talk about it though. We cant ignore the performance of the manager and the supporting team around him. They are largely why the team performs as they do. If the team is underperforming, it is more than likely because the manager and coaches are underperforming.

There's too much made of him being a Blade. We have an obsession with it. We cant be the only club in the league where for the manager, 'being a lifetime supporter' is a pre-requisite, and a 'get out of jail' card if the team is not achieving its potential. The manager should never be beyond scrutiny. We must ask questions, and be free to want more for our club, and not settle for being second rate or uncompetitive.

Toss a coin . He definitely has some good points, equally some bad points.
Again I dont see what Knill adds to the team, at all. The times this season we've blown a lead , had teams by the throat, they wriggle free then give us the knock out blow simply because Wilder and Knill cannot adapt or change tact. If they can’t change the game by clapping and pointing, they are fewked.
But who do you replace them with???.
Or maybe get Chris another side kick?.

I may be underestimating what Knill brings to the table overall and I know that he’s never been the most demonstrative of people, but on a match-day this season, he appears to say hardly anything and do nothing. We could replace him with a cardboard cutout and we wouldn’t notice the difference. Surely a bit of encouragement for the players that he coaches wouldn’t go amiss or the odd heated debate with Wilder or the rest of the coaching team?

Time to go...at the end of the season.
Signing ex-Prem crocks doesnt cut it for me. Nor does the lack of any progress fitness and disciplinary wise. We are also unable to hold a lead 90% of the time...it all needs dealing with and Wilder hasn't.

He's steadied the ship but it's time to take the hit and take a leap of faith.

I assume our owners will have learnt from their previous mistakes.

From what i see on social media the folk who make more of Wilder bein a BLADE (and use it against him) are those that want him gone.Would the likes of Big Ange,Sean Dyche or any of the other sacked scabby forest bosses want the job? Until we get anutha manager/Head coach Our Chris will have my backing as will the next gaffer whoever it may be will,it's called supportin my club which ia what i do,but hey ho each to their own. To me this is very similar to asking for Sir John Harris to be sacked the times we just missed out on promotion in the late 60s. One I can remember is the make or break Easter Bank Holiday weekend when everything went tits up at Blackpool where we lost 1-0 to a John Craven goal. Sick as a Blackpool Donkey, slightly eased by going on the piss with the lads in the Manchester Hotel to ease the pain. The end of the Rainbow was reached with Sir John still at the helm in the 70/71 season fielding the best Blades team in my lifetime. Keep The Faith!
