I had a meeting this morning with a long time United ST holder.

He wants us to win the league and says this is THE best Spurs team he has ever seen.

He actually said if beating United means us finishing first over Chelsea then he hopes we win that game.

80deg, it's good to know.I am in Manchester, couple of miles from OT and surrounded by both set of Manc supporters. I hear similar things. Most 'football' fans recognise Spurs for what we have achieved under Poch and envy us for having some great players. How the times have changed. Let's hope we get all the neutrals' support as Leicester did last season, hope other PL teams fight harder to take points off the Chavs. COYS!

How ironic would that be if the other teams went after Chelsea to try to help us win the title.

Well, I'd expect Mourinho to try and put a dent in to their charge, I am sure he has a score to settle! I think if we get within 4 points of the Chavs, we could get some serious support from others. Alas, time is running out. Shame B'mouth didn't appear interested....and they'd better stay in that mood next Sat.!

I have a couple of arse loving mates (excuse the obvious misnomer for them) who are literally crying at their implosion and praying for Chelsea to hold on...

As both have said, the idea of us even coming close is just unbearable.

The United fans had a terrible time adjusting to their new reality as well.

It took us a while (it's still happening) to break out of our normal "expect the worst" mode.

The most satisfying thing about ars*nal is that they should be doing well and aren't.

Any transition from SAF to the new guy(s) was bound to take time.

I'm in the US, so my contact with other supporters is few at best. However, although some might respect us for the way we do things and the Chavs generally disliked around the league, I think most supporters of other teams would prefer the status quo to Spurs gaining a stronger foothold as another "big club" to reckon with.

It's nice to see us getting a lot of praise this season. Last year was the opposite and we were the ones chasing the major underdogs so everyone wanted us to fail. Right now the whole football supporting world knows the two best teams in the Premier League are us and Chelsea and with us being the underdogs, we have the neutral vote.

It's also nice to hear the phrase "I've always had a soft spot for Spurs" banded around an awful lot at the moment. I think we've done ourselves proud as fans collectively by remaining very grounded and realistic - which is the complete opposite of our nomad rivals. The club, it's players and its fans are doing themselves proud at the moment and it's fantastic to see.

My ex housemate is a Bournemouth fan - said today that he really hopes we win the league as we're not only the best team but play football the way it should be played

Gotta admit we were sublime today, I just wish we coulda done it on the big stage in the CL

I can't believe how many people have said to me, over the last few days that they wished Spurs had finished first over Chelsea.

Pretty much everyone hates Chelsea, not that surprising. Never met a fan of another club who said "I'm a die hard xxxxx fan but I have a soft spot for Chelsea, real classy club"

Other London clubs' fans aside I hear that a lot from other clubs' fans about Spurs.

Chelsea fans are mainly rich 'football knowledgeless' upper class thicko's now.
Its just so trendy and fun to go and watch those people on the pitch in shorties and all wearing the same coloured tops (hawf haf) kicking a round thing around ( oh yaw ).

Money bought them their success.

Chelsea do not have many die hard Chelsea through and through fans any more as they all died years ago, or are in prison or geatric wards or care homes.

Their new breed of fans are yuppified plonkers who only can sing one football song because there is only one word in the lyrics to remember and if they say it long enough they may actually recall who they support!...

Chelsea chelsea Chelsea Chelsea, (pause)
Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea. (longer pause)
Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea, (pause)
Chelsea Chelsea chelsea. (end)
