Watched the Liverpool and Arse games. Liverpool looked quite good early on, but Stoke came back into it and really should have gotten the draw. Having said that, they did deserve their win, but I don't think on this game they will be all that threatening as the season goes on. With Bitey to come back, you never know though.
Arse also looked really good going forward early on, but it still looks like they have their dodgy defensive problems which is a good sign. Once Villa got their goal, Arse went completely off the boil and started acting like spoiled children for every decision that went against them (and there were a few unfair ones!). On that evidence, they certainly have not improved at all since last year as you would expect when you buy no one! Benteke had an odd game - he was far from lethal in front of goal, but his hold up and link play really is great at times. Agbonlahor was really impressive - best I've seen him play in a long time.
Watching Man U now and Van Persie is so important to them. Man U very much out played, but then nick a couple of goals in a couple of minutes due to some individual brilliance and some great movement from Van Persie. Swansea playing some really nice stuff, but just not threatening the goal enough. Will be interesting to see how Bony does, as I think Swansea are very close to being a very good team - mixing an extremely well drilled passing team with that bit of extra individual flair. Could be dark horses for a very high finish in the league...
