" PL net spending charts. Villa's league position tracking above their spending. "

not sure on it's accuracy or when it's from (given Norwich and Watford) but
on that our nett spend is 5th highest
(not even there on gross spend)

erm

Must be they paid 50m for that cheating Brazilain fairy upfront, 35m for Iwobi, 30m for the bloke on loan at PSG the list goes on

I saw something the other day saying they'd spent 20m on one player 16 times in something like 5 years. We've done that 4 times in our history and one of them was Darren Bent a decade ago.

When was the last time we sold someone for decent money? Nearly everyone who has left us in the last few years has either been released or we've had to pay them to leave. We're paying for the mistakes of the past still.

only one that springs to mind since the MON days is Benteke -
maybe that's why the figures don't seem to support the claim we're tracking above our spending ?

Word on the mean streets of KL is Fat Frank to Palace and Woy to the Baggies.

Can't see anything other than relegation for Palace if that's the case. They've a load of players out of contract, their best player (Zaha) wants to leave and their second best player (Eze) will be attracting interest now as well. There's a serious rebuild job and he's not going to get loaned a bunch of young superstars from his mates like he was at Derby and he's not walking into a team with filled with champions league level players sprinkled with some of the best youngsters in the country. Roy however will probably get Albion back up unfortunately.

Yet they chuffing well beat us though.

Bournemouth winning in the play-offs.

If they go up won't it just be the 3 that went down (a point under us) replacing the 3 that got promoted?

Boring

Yep, and they'll oddly come up in the reverse order to how they went down.

The only thing interesting about it is I think they'll put gigantic pressure on the perennial survivors. These won't be clubs with no experience in the league they'll be 3 clubs with lots of recent experience.

With that said I think all four clubs in the playoffs are near certainties to get relegated.

Delighted to post the good news that Lee Mason is retiring at the end of the season........! :party:But don’t get too excited....the bad news is that he’s retired to become the Premier League’s first ‘dedicated VAR official’......Lee effing Mason!? :clown: As if VAR hasn’t been crap enough this season....next season they’re sending Lee to the frigging rescue! If it was bad this year.....we ain’t seen nothing yet! Talk about jobs for the boys! Sorry to spoil everyone’s evening....sirdennis in particular!
