Ah .....those were the days. Summer, the Villa tattoo ink still drying on my leg . Still on a wembley high. My play off final flag flying proudly in the garden winding up my baggie family when they were round for a BBQ. Full of trepidation but with hope aswell.
The manager was not a clueless, tactically inept, stubborn, out of his depth buffoon who has lost the dressing room. We had signed a load of players I had never heard of but the owners were interested, the recruitment team was fresh and doing a great job , the CEO was not a smarmy fcuk . So surely we haven't signed a load of duds. The ambition was top 6 but the reality was mid table at best.
Then the season kicked off......

This image doesn`t surprise me one bit, Freddy is the only defender we have who consistently sees danger and is on it.
Our best defender in my opinion and at times Smith has thought Elmo was better, madness.
