Good for 10M but I think they should aim higher. Same for Arsenal - neither are as good as Jose Sa for instance. Neither have been able to oust Pickford.

Butland has never really recovered from that move to us collapsing has he. Completely fell apart almost immediately after Stoke decided they didn't need 20m. I'm half convinced it was because Gary Rowett didn't want to sell a player to us. Still it worked out better for us in the end.
Especially at that price, he'd be fantastic back up for Emi. Give him all Cup games, and he's fantastic international cover, and he could get the immediate game after international breaks so Emi gets longer to rest. Win, win, win for me.

There's no chance Pope would sign for us as he's not good enough to replace Emi but too good to be a number 2. At least for a side not in Europe who will play an extra 15 or more cup games throughout the season.
I agree, a player trying to force his way into the England set up (which he won't because of the manager) won't want to go somewhere to play second fiddle.
