UEFA covering themselves in glory again.

The have just fined Besiktas £29,000 for letting a cat run onto the pitch in a Champions League game last season.

This is considerably more than the fine given to Russia for racist abuse towards the French team in a recent international game.

Talk about getting their priorities wrong.

I will never forget how many Sunderland fans were at Villa on 26 April 1975 - way too many, the Witton end was jammed. Unforgettable day. Massive attendance, massive result, the place was seething, the Holte was moving en masse, the atmosphere was just unvelievable [it was an afternoon game], the noise was unforgettable.
Gone off topic - but can't help it

McAllister did a decent job when he replaced Houllier after his illness. Always thought he was a well balanced bloke and intelligent footballer.

Yep, had a lot of time for him. Remember his last match in charge. Against Liverpool. Albrighton's cross, Downing in at the far post. 1-0 win to us. Terrific!!!

Apparently, Sunderland have sold 20k season tickets already.

That is not too shabby considering how dire they have been for the past two years.

I would’ve been pissed if we had to go to Tottenham away at Wembley! Was looking forward to going to their new stadium.

In other news... can’t wait to go to the trillion trophy stadium next season ??? (Bit of an optimistic name change to say the least)
