cant believe we haven't got a thread on this already, maybe we have, but I cant find it....

if he shot her in the head then surely he is guilty... if you woke up in the middle of the night and your missus wasn't next to you in bed then I wouldn't think there was a burglar in the house, I would think it was her fannying about.... I've not been watching it so maybe I'm wrong.

what are your thoughts, guilty or not?

and she was in the bathroom with the door locked, so that gives him a bit of time if it were to be an intruder.... surely he would have called her name to see if it was her in the bathroom....

something dosent quite add up with it... other than he is guilty

No I agree Barney . Doesn't seem right.

If I wake up and hear someone in the bathroom I don't automatically think it's an intruder and shoot them.

He said he was calling her name out as well .

him saying he called her name out is something that can never be proven.

in our house, my missus will go to the toilet in the middle of the night... all the time. The only reason I would shoot her is because she wakes me up lol!!

its all a load of bollocks if im honest, just lock the prick away and whck him around the head with his plastic leg.

surely he cant get away with this,....

There's no thread on this because he is so blatantly guilty of murder. His defence is pathetic.

He keeps throwing up in court, I think he is trying to bore himself innocent. Got a feeling he will get off OJ style only to end up in clink in years to come.

I can't believe he got bail whilst awaiting trial. Maybe we could talk about both high profile cases ongoing in South Africa right now, this one and the Shrien Dewani trial. Both guilty as sin in my opinion.

Apparently the was an LED light on in the bedroom as well. How he thought she was still in bed is beyond me.

The question is not whether he shot her Barney, he admits that, the question is whether he knew it was Steenkamp or really thought it was a burgler - murder, manslaughter, or misadventure? South Africa is one of the most violent gun-carrying countries in the world, someone is murdered every 14 seconds there. Burglaries often turn into multiple murders. Comparing this to your missus getting up in the middle of the night in leafy Edgbaston really isn't the same thing at all.

I've been impressed by his shattered, sobbing, wretching and vomiting demeanor in court. No one is that good an actor. On the other hand, lots of evidence to suggest he is a spoilt, egotistical idiot, like John Terry with no legs, so frankly I'm not bothered if he goes down.

I know it is mate, and I think his story is a load of old shit. Missus isn't next to you and you think theres an intruder... its bollocks. I think he shot her knowing it was her....

like I said , when I wake up in the middle of the night and my missus isn't next to me I know shes either in the toilet or downstairs because she cant sleep. My first thought wouldn't be to grab a gun and shoot fuck out of the bathroom door .... something isn't adding up, will be interesting to know the truth.

has he not fu**ed up his story with his legs too.... saying they were on when they were off... or something along those lines

You mean he used being legless as an excuse ?

yeah, did he not say he fired the gun because he didn't have his legs on and felt vunerable ? and then when they examined the bathroom door the bullet and cricket bat marks on the door were high up (from someone that would have had legs)

If he really did want to kill her, he should have chosen a better place than a locked bathroom door in his own house. Could he really be that stupid, particularly as SA is full of people who are happy to kill someone for a few dollars? If he shot her after a blazing row, even that isn't regarded as cold bloodied murder - although the law might be different down there.

Of course he could have been legless...
