Only in America...

I would love for the liberal-minded women of Texas just to up-sticks en masse and leave the state as a huge "fuck you" to the Republicans.

Mind you, they'd probably then pass a bill preventing women leaving Texas.

Well, I was only half-joking.

“We recognize and respect that we all have deeply held and different perspectives. As a company, we stand with all of our women at Salesforce and everywhere. If you have concerns about access to reproductive healthcare in your state, Salesforce will help relocate you and members of your immediate family.”

Good for them.

Interesting article. Some of those with "racially challenged thinking" on here might want to read it to educate themselves a little.

They won't, of course.
A good read and “Where they speak out for the privileges of a puny group, I shall shout for the rights of all mankind … With humility, but with pride, I shall offer one small life, whether in foxhole or in wheat field, for whatever it is worth, to fulfil the prophecy that all men are created equal.” where "Where they speak out for the privileges of a puny group" encapsulates white privilege

Different President, same divided USA.

Powerful stuff from the young man who lost his friend in Afghanistan.

On a lighter note, absolute class trolling from the wag as Biden approached a group of young girls, "Don't sniff 'em, dooon't sniff 'em"

People know all about you creepy Joe, they know.

That didn't take long:

The most popular US President in history has just polled as unpopular (at the same time in office) as the most unpopular President in history did.

Apparently that period was a low point for Trump as well.

Not sure I agree with all of this but an interesting article on gun control from a man that had forgotten more than I could ever know…..

If all the US did was treat owning a gun like driving a car they would be in a much better place with just that simple leap of logic. The flipside of that point of view is that the police forces of the US are supposedly trained in the use of firearms and that doesn't seem to stop them making appalling decisions about who and when to shoot, and that won't be fixed with gun reform it will only be fixed with police reform...

Yeah, with ‘power’ should come responsibility, particularly from Institutions the public rely on. Although I guess that’s being tested on both sides of the Atlantic!

And this is where "both-sideism" gets you. I'm sure David Irving will be happy to help out. Or stock the odd copy of Mein Kampf. You know, for an opposing view.

Goya: the death of reason creates monsters.

I'm sure there's plenty of books available to offer opposing views of the Alamo, oh surely this can't be right?
