On to the next out break...

Without looking at the details of the polio case(s) I wonder how much the covid vaccine hesitancy will halo onto other types of vaccines and therefore contribute to a rise in things like polio, TB and measles etc

it won't. Just look at Germany , a vaccine hesitant nation, no impact.
and France for that matter.

I read an article in the Guardian about the detection of polio in London.

I found this quite amusing, watching her skate around that hole in the ice very carefully:

“Most of the UK population will be protected from vaccination in childhood, but in some communities with low vaccine coverage, individuals may remain at risk,” she added.

Is it racist to say that immigrant communities have lower polio vaccination rates?

It would appear so, in much the same way as the authorities pussyfooted around TB being bought back into the country by eastern Europeans and people from the Indian sub continent.

Rates against ethnicity would be taboo as hell but super interesting. West London is flagging up as one of the worst parts of the country in terms of Polio vaccine uptake and is one of the most 'un-white' parts of the country.

There's really no excuses for not getting a polio vaccine. We need to be very, very robust about this as a society.
