On my train to work...

There were group of these stuck to various seats near the back of the Rainham End against Plymouth.

Yeh so this was pretty much the one tangible result of the time4change group, that a few of them had got some stickers printed out and would plaster them over the stadium etc.

It made me laugh that actually everything they tried failed ultimately. The protest before the game, the boo during the game, even their silly survey was laughed at. I wonder if they are still keen to publish the results? Not that they'll mean much given how loaded the questions were.

I do reckon though that it's more than a small minority of fans that want scally out. They had about 400 members last time I looked. Even if half of those were probably on the group to just see what was going on, it's still 200.

The group might actually have some effect if someone with a brain tried to organise something feasible and had any sort of ability to lead the noisy 200 scally haters into battle.

I think most people recognise Scally has his limitations, but also that things could be a lot worse and to be careful what you wish for. I suspect most of the Gate 13 Scally Out brigade don’t remember pre-1995.

This sticker has the same basic sticker design as that of a 1970s right wing group e,g. National front, BMP. Why on a union jack/english design and who the f are gate 13.

If you want any form of movement to be successful then it’s got to get mainstream. If you stick Gate 13 on the stickers or start singing ‘Who’s That Dying in the Alley’ straight after a protest chant like in the Factory at half-time in Saturday, then people dismiss the movement. People are only going to think this is the work of a few extremists, maybe who don’t like Scally as they or some mates are banned. The movement will then be easy to dismiss by Scally as well as not getting any media coverage.

Make a show at away games to give the impression you’re genuinely boycotting the home games but remain active. Use stats when you’re trying to get the average fan on board - do some research to actually add up all the transfer fees etc received.

Completely agree Trev. This is why theyll never be taken seriously by scally until they are able to do the above and more. Even the stickers are a joke. Associating with gate 13, and the gb flag is no doubt driven by our random rangers gills fans who are the same group of people.

I'm with the poster above. Scally has his limitations but is what he's done really enough to hound him out, and also its veey important to be careful what you wish for. For every success story there's a similar number of failures and disaster stories. Gills have been neither under scally really.

??‍♂️ I assumed Gate 13 meant it was an old sticker. That there are still some sad pricks running around calling themselves Gate 13 is as laughable as it is cringeworthy.

From the look of the general group who were hanging around the area where I saw the stickers, I think you are probably right. From the look of them being generally mid to barely late 20s, they probably started supporting late 90s and into the Championship years. Their baseline for success is probably a feeling that Gillingham have a divine right to be in the Championship.

Nope people definitely still associate themselves with gate 13. There's a bunch that take a flag to alot of the away games.

It's actually not entirely true. There's a bunch of 20 somethings who get involved absolutely, but they are led / egged on by a much older contingent who are old enough to know better and Will have definitely have seen the gills before 95. Generally they are pretty thick so struggle to hold a meaningful discussion over the subject without reverting to swearing and calling you a scally lover.

It’s probably come from some of the young 18-21 year old bunch that go to most of the away games by train, a lot of those regulars are in the Scally Out camp.

As i say, as far as i can see on the facebook forums its a mixture of the youngsters and a much older lot. One particular prominent 'scally out'er on the forums is the son of one old poster from here (well, the old old rivals site) who used to be incredibly negative and anti scally. No surprise he grew up to be anti scally then. There's also another youngster and dad combo on the forums. Most have been banned from the main forum to be fair as they just swear at people and are pretty racist too.

Anyway the point is that there is still an older lot of gills fans who generally lead the anti scally sentiment so it's not really correct to blame it on a few prepubescent teenagers who cant remember life before scally.

Here's another one that was made. Never realised stickers were all the rage these days. The only people who get Stickers these days are under 5s. I know people think these lads are young but that's taking the piss.
