Don't know if it all stems from the story in he MEN, but rumours about Kun and VK have spread to other papers like the Telegraph and Express.

Kun has obviously really upset some people with his attitude to playing for Argentina, and it looks like Pep will not risk VK.

Shit stirring at it's finest.

If they back up their bullsh1t with something of substance then I may get concerned.

Have to ask, if there is genuinely a rift between Pep and Kun then why wasn't Kelechi on the bench ahead of him on Wednesday night?

The media love a good meaty news story but is their any meat on the bone?

Think i'll leave my comment hanging in the air :051:

I don't think that there is a rift necessarily between Pep and Sergio - but having read about Pep's background as a coach he definitely has a streak of "you are either on board my train, or you are not. No matter who you are, no one gets treated any differently". So I think he still values Agüero and his talent but he is on record as saying he wants him to improve and that includes his work rate. Kun has confirmed that himself. There's just a bit of me that feels that maybe, just maybe, Pep is saying to him - you cannot take risks with your position, you are not guaranteed a place in the side unless you work to what I expect.

Remember this is the same media that keep reporting 'exclusive news' that Kun is off to Madrid every window since he got here (5 years go). There are two potential interpretations of Pep's decision on Wednesday night

It was a tactical decision to drop a striker for another midfielder
Pep has fallen out with Kun

Up until Bravo's blunder, which of the two would you have gone with?

Pep on Kompany: "What I saw when he is fit, he's a real central defender. I like him."

Pep on Sergio: "When Sergio decides to leave City it will be his decision. Next time you say he is not in my plans, you can call me."

Pep: "Out of my plans? I think I took a decision about my plans, and my plans are that Sergio and Vincent are part of the future of City."

I've bookmarked the latest presser to look at later, something I always do. Seen comment that it's very good, and a few pointed remarks aimed at the journos are involved.
Good to see, and some have been sensitive in their reaction, eg Ducker of the Telegraph,
'Pep shouldn't take the criticism to heart', or comments of that ilk.

They are at it again Sky Sports what the papers say
Mirror pep has told Kun he can leave when he wants to
Pep is saying Vinnies head is not right after two year injury hell
Mail
Vinnie is the latest City high profile casualty of Peps reign
They are twisting his words saying he would rather go and leave City and go back to Spain than change anything
They will make it their business to make that happen :040:

Nothing changes. They are like a dog worrying way at a bone. Desperate to try and find something, anything to drive a wedge into any perceived 'crack' in a relationship, to generate headlines, create 'click bait' and it all follows the path laid out by the Guardian article posted in a separate thread.
